Sonofelice Village Delpino: Family Resort & Ulsanbawi Views in Sokcho

I'm finally writing about my stay at Sono Felice Village, Sokcho, from my May holiday trip, haha!

This is a review of Sono Felice Village Delpino, a great family accommodation in Sokcho and Goseong, Gangwon Province, that can host up to 10 people.

1. Getting to know the types of Sono Hotel & Resort

Honestly, it was confusing trying to find it, and even now, writing this review, the names are so perplexing that I had to look them up on Namuwiki!

It was even more confusing because the one in Goseong just happens to have 'Delpino' attached to its name. It seems Vivaldi Park and Delpino are called that because they house multiple brands!

2. Introducing Sono Felice Delpino

Still confused, right?

That's because Delpino actually has Sono Felice, Sono Belle, and Sono Calm all in one place!

Hahahaha, they even included Café Ambrosia!

With all these brands clustered together, Sono Felice itself is even divided into 'Village' and 'non-Village' types. What I, Bamkki, visited in the end was Sono Felice Village Delpino !!!!!!!!!

3. Sono Felice Village Delpino Suite Review

Check-in for the Village isn't at a separate location; it's done together at Sono Calm Building B.

Check-in is at 3 PM, check-out at 11 AM, but room assignment is available starting from 12 PM.

At Delpino Resort, whether you get a view of Ulsanbawi Rock from Seoraksan Mountain makes a huge difference. If you want that Ulsanbawi view from your room, make sure to arrive early and get your room assigned first... ★

However, since Bamkki's family went during a holiday, guests staying multiple nights were prioritized for good rooms ㅠ_ㅠ. Even though we arrived at 12:30 PM, we still got a room without the view, boohoo haha. (The staff kindly explains which building and floor in the Village offer the best views.)

Our room was on the 1st floor of Building F. The floor you see at the entrance is actually the 2nd floor, so you have to go down one level to reach the 1st floor.

I stayed at the Sono Felice Village Royal Suite. The difference between the Gold and Royal suites is probably the living room size? I looked it up, and both accommodate a standard of 7 guests, with a maximum of 10.

As soon as you enter, there's a long living room stretching left and right. There's a dining table that seats up to 7, and plenty of sofas.

It's designed to accommodate up to 10 people, but honestly, just looking at the sheer space, 20 people could fit in, haha!

Beneath the TV, there's an electric fireplace,

so if you visit in winter, you could turn it on and sit in front of it,

creating a wonderfully cozy atmosphere.

A kitchen where you can cook!

An electric kettle and microwave,

along with plenty of tableware, were all readily available.

Unfortunately, Ulsanbawi Rock wasn't visible from the room ㅠ_ㅠ

It seems the view isn't available from the 1st floor of Building F at Sono Felice Village...

Anyway, it was cloudy on the first two days, so we couldn't see it then,

and it wasn't until the third day that Ulsanbawi Rock finally appeared.

So, we headed to the observatory near the parking lot and took countless photos, soaking in the view to our heart's content! 🏔️

Back to the Sono Felice Village Delpino Suite review!

As soon as you enter the suite, there's a bathroom to the left,

a room to the right,

and at each end of the living room,

there was one room with an attached bathroom.

That means three rooms and three bathrooms – perfect!

The room near the kitchen had two single beds,

And the bathroom was SO incredibly spacious!

I didn't capture everything in photos, but the bathtub was huge,

and there was a separate toilet and shower booth.

And the room with the TV also had

two single beds.

While it wasn't an Ulsanbawi Rock view,

you still get to see lush, green scenery,

which totally brightens your mood, doesn't it? 💛💚

The bathroom attached to this room didn't have a separate shower booth;

it was designed for showering in the bathtub.

The third room didn't have an attached bathroom,

and it only featured a double bed.

The third bathroom was located separately, next to the living room.

Every bathroom came equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash

as complimentary amenities.

The cleanliness was impeccable,

and most importantly, the spaciousness made for a truly comfortable stay.

It's a convenient 15-20 minute drive from Sokcho city center,

and it takes a similar amount of time to reach Goseong,

meaning you're never far from your next adventure.
