"Wait, a kebab spot in the middle of coastal Vietnam?"

If you search for "Mui Ne restaurants,"

one name constantly pops up on the list:

Sindbad Restaurant (Sindbad Kebab).

When I first visited Mui Ne a few years back, it was just a quiet local joint.

But recently, it has blown up as a must-visit spot for travelers.

So, during my recent 2026 trip, I had to stop by and see if it still lives up to the hype.

In this post, I’ll share Sindbad Kebab's location, menu,

and an honest review of our meal.

Sindbad Kebab is located right on

Nguyễn Đình Chiểu Street, the main tourist strip in Mui Ne.

It's incredibly easy to find and super accessible during your stay.

It's also close to the highly-rated Rose Spa,

as well as several other popular cafes and bars,

making it a perfect lunch or dinner stop while exploring.

Menu & How to Order

To accommodate the diverse crowds,

Sindbad offers a multi-language menu,

complete with English and Korean translations.

Some of the most popular items feature photos,

which definitely helps when you're trying to choose!

The crowd favorites are:

the classic Kebab, Döner Kebab,

and the Chipotle Wrap.

While the menu is easy to navigate,

keep an eye on the English descriptions.

The translations can sometimes be slightly off.

For example, I saw a dish translated into Korean as "Salmon,"

but when it arrived, there was no salmon to be found.

I looked closely at the English menu and realized it was actually "Salami"!

📌 Tip: Stick to the English menu descriptions to avoid any surprises!

The drinks menu is fully in English.

They offer a great variety, including fresh fruit smoothies,

milkshakes, juices, cold beers, and even cocktails.

The process here is simple and straightforward:

Order and pay upfront at the counter.

Head to the counter near the back kitchen,

place your order, pay first, and grab a seat.

The staff will bring the food right to your table.

📌 Reminder: It is cash-only, so make sure you have Vietnamese Dong (VND) on hand!

Atmosphere & Honest Review

Sindbad has both indoor and outdoor seating.

The indoor area is air-conditioned, which is a lifesaver in the Mui Ne heat.

When I visited, the restaurant was packed with international tourists,

showing just how popular this place has become.

The space is generally clean, though because they grill the meat indoors,

there can be a bit of smoke and a heavy savory aroma inside.

As for the service, keep your expectations realistic.

It’s not luxury dining, but the staff is efficient and helpful.

During peak lunch and dinner hours, the food might take a little longer to arrive.

However, the staff usually warns you ahead of time, which makes the wait perfectly fine.

Here is what we ordered (in order of the photos above):

✅ Bruschetta al Forno

(Toasted bread topped with fresh tomatoes and melted mozzarella)

✅ Crostini Salami

(Toasted bread with salami and melted mozzarella)

📌 This was the one mistranslated as "Salmon" on the Korean menu

✅ Chicken Doner

(The classic chicken kebab)

✅ Shish Kebab

(Grilled beef skewer kebab)

Of all the dishes, our absolute favorite was the Chicken Doner Kebab!

The Shish Kebab (beef) came in a close second.

The sauces are incredibly flavorful, and the meat was perfectly tender and juicy.

The Bruschetta and Crostini are very similar conceptually,

just featuring slightly different toppings.

They come loaded with warm, gooey mozzarella cheese,

and are absolutely delicious when eaten fresh and hot.

For two people, our total bill (including drinks) came to

around 450,000 VND (approx. $18 USD).

Sindbad Kebab serves up delicious food at very reasonable prices.

If you're traveling through Mui Ne and need a quick break from Vietnamese cuisine,

this is the perfect spot to satisfy your cravings for something different.
