Over a decade ago, I visited Bangkok on a package tour...
I felt like I didn't truly experience Bangkok back then,
so I decided to revisit on a free and easy trip!
The accommodation was what I agonized over the most!!
Bangkok, surprisingly, offers great value for money, and yet...
there aren't that many hotels with really fantastic pools.
I wanted to enjoy the city while still getting that resort-like vibe,
so I chose the Sheraton Sukhumvit Hotel, which had rave reviews for its pool.
The conclusion? I was absolutely, 100% satisfied! Haha.

The location is absolutely fantastic!
If you compare it to Korea, it's like the Myeongdong of Bangkok :)
Asok BTS Skytrain Station and Terminal 21 shopping mall
are connected via a skywalk,
making both shopping and getting around incredibly convenient~
I could swim at the hotel, then head over to Terminal 21,
do some shopping, and grab lunch at the food court.
The prices were affordable, the food delicious, and being able to walk everywhere was just so easy.
Even though I booked the most affordable room,
it was still plenty spacious, comfortable, and absolutely wonderful~
The bathroom was also large and clean,
and all the basic amenities, like toothbrushes, were provided.
The view was a city view, nothing extraordinary,
but I was quite satisfied since it was a higher floor. Haha.
There was a minibar (for a fee),
and complimentary welcome fruits like bananas and apples too :)
Breakfast
When I was researching breakfast at Bangkok hotels, the most important thing I looked for was
...whether or not they had mangoes, haha!
Turns out, many hotels surprisingly don't have mangoes for breakfast...
But at the Sheraton's breakfast, there were mangoes,
so I loved being able to eat them every morning! Haha.
If you ask for one glass of juice and one coffee each,
they'll bring them right to your table~
The orange juice and coffee were incredibly delicious..
Besides mangoes, there were many other kinds of fruits,
delicious bread, and even Korean dishes like kimchi.
As expected from a 5-star hotel, there was a wide variety of delicious food. Haha.
The Pool
You know how most hotel pools are just rectangular basins
surrounded by people?
It can feel a bit awkward if you're not exactly an Olympic swimmer, haha!
But the Sheraton pool? It's completely different!
Lush trees and plants wrap around it, making the landscaping absolutely stunning,
and this design also made it feel much less intimidating to splash around in, which I really appreciated!
It truly felt like a verdant, resort-style oasis right in the heart of the city! ♥
The pool depth is 1.5m, which was a little on the deeper side for someone petite like me,
so if you're not the strongest swimmer,
you might want to consider bringing some arm floats or a similar aid – just a friendly tip! 😉
There are plenty of sunbeds available, so it felt like there was always
a spot open, no matter when we visited! 😊
They even have a warm hydro-pool, which was fantastic!
I found myself happily moving between the cooler main pool and the soothing warm waters. Pure bliss! 😊

and your specific dates. So, it's always a great idea to compare options
before you book to snag the best deal! 😉
With its prime city-center location, the incredible resort-style pool,
a breakfast spread where you can feast on endless mangoes, and wonderfully spacious rooms –
everything about my stay was absolutely satisfying!
I'm pretty sure I'll be heading back to the Sheraton on my next Bangkok adventure.
