Securing Your Booking Time and Tickets
For Seville Cathedral, you don't just book a date; you also need to select a specific entry time slot.
Before finalizing your reservation, it's crucial to check ⭐️if your desired time slot⭐️ is available on each platform.

Our Experience: Heading Straight to the Giralda Tower
We arrived about 10 minutes before our scheduled entry time and joined the queue. With a 10:50 AM ticket, we were able to enter around 10:55 AM.

Once inside, we immediately headed up the Giralda Tower to beat the crowds. Since it was early morning, both the tower and the cathedral interior were relatively empty, making it perfect for taking photos – we were absolutely thrilled!✨
Unlike many other church towers that feature endless staircases, the Giralda Tower is unique because it consists almost entirely of gently sloping ramps. Legend has it these ramps were designed so that horses could ascend to the top in ancient times.

It took us about 5 to 10 minutes to reach the summit, and the ascent and descent felt effortless. However, keep in mind that the time may vary depending on your walking speed and how crowded it is.

The top of the Giralda Tower was narrower than we expected, and the windows offering views of the city were covered with a metal mesh. So, it wasn't quite the wide-open panorama of Seville we had envisioned.

We even got to hear the bells ring! Apparently, there are separate bells that chime on the hour and quarter-hour, and they also ring for mass and special feast days.

We didn't linger too long at the top, quickly taking some pictures before heading back down.
How Long Does a Seville Cathedral Visit Take?
The official estimated viewing time for both the Cathedral and the Giralda Tower combined is approximately 75 minutes. For our visit, after descending the Giralda, we spent about an hour exploring the Cathedral's interior.
✔️
If you plan to take your time, admire every detail, and capture plenty of photos, it's a good idea to allocate more time than the official estimate!

After exploring the cathedral's interior, we stopped by the Seville Cathedral gift shop. It was quite a surprise to find a book in Korean there!

Finally, we wandered through the outdoor garden, filled with orange trees.
This lovely spot is officially called 🍊Patio de los Naranjos🍊, which translates to 'Courtyard of the Orange Trees'. It's wonderfully lush and green, making it a fantastic place to snap some profile-worthy photos!

After experiencing the Giralda Tower, the cathedral interior, the gift shop, and the charming Orange Tree Courtyard, our Seville Cathedral adventure came to a satisfying close!
I'll be sure to share a more detailed review of the cathedral's interior in a future post.✨
