Segovia & Toledo Day Tour
The tour kicks off bright and early at 8:30 AM
from the underground parking lot in front of Madrid's Royal Palace.

After hopping into our dedicated vehicle, we headed straight to our first destination, Segovia.
On the bus, our wonderful guide kept us entertained with fascinating historical stories and insightful explanations,
making the journey fly by!
Segovia

Our first stop in Segovia was the Alcázar Palace, which I was most excited about!
The Alcázar Palace is said to be the inspiration for Snow White's castle, and its exterior is truly breathtaking.
Before entering the castle, our guide took us to a fantastic photo spot and diligently helped each group capture incredible, once-in-a-lifetime shots!
(My partner and I even snagged some incredible shots we were super happy with!)

Next, we stepped inside the Alcázar Palace.
Seeing it up close, I couldn't help but think of Snow White's castle – it felt like stepping right into a fairy tale!

The Alcázar Palace boasts a unique architectural style, beautifully blending Christian and Islamic influences.
Thanks to our guide's amazing photography skills, we snagged even more stunning photos inside the palace!
Don't miss the chance to snap some unforgettable couple photos with that iconic arch as your backdrop!

Next, we explored the Segovia Cathedral and the Aqueduct.
The Aqueduct, in particular, was a truly fresh and awe-inspiring sight,
unlike anything I'd ever witnessed before!
I was absolutely amazed by the architectural prowess of the Romans back then.
What's more, it's mind-boggling that it's still so perfectly preserved even after 2,000 years...!

For lunch, we headed to a popular restaurant right by the Aqueduct,
where we absolutely had to try the local specialty
—roast suckling pig—which is a must-eat when visiting Segovia.
It was so incredibly tender and absolutely delicious!
(Just a heads-up, it did have a faint, distinct pork aroma.)

We were also incredibly lucky to witness the chef perform the traditional cutting of the roast pig with a plate!
They say this spectacle is meant to show just how incredibly tender the suckling pig is—
so tender it can be cut with a plate! Isn't that amazing?
Toledo

We then moved on to our second destination, Toledo,
and our first stop was the magnificent Toledo Cathedral.

The Toledo Cathedral truly embodies Spanish Gothic architecture at its finest,
and exploring it while listening to our guide's insightful explanations
made us appreciate so much more of its intricate beauty and history.

Especially captivating was El Transparente, a unique skylight designed to pierce the ceiling and flood the space with light!
It's truly astonishing to think how they could have conceived such an ingenious design in that era.
Honestly, if it weren't for our knowledgeable guide,
we would have surely walked through without ever noticing or understanding these incredible details.
It just solidified my feeling that booking this tour was absolutely the right decision!

Next up, we got to taste Toledo's famous specialty: marzipan!
It's a delightful dessert crafted from sugar and almonds,
and it's not overly sweet, boasting a wonderfully subtle and savory flavor.
It's definitely a snack worth trying at least once!

After a pleasant stroll through Toledo's Jewish Quarter,
we arrived at our final highlight: the breathtaking Toledo Viewpoint!
This Toledo Viewpoint is also renowned as the very spot where Korean celebrity couple Lee Bo-young and Ji Sung
had their beautiful wedding photoshoot.
Once you're here in person, you'll immediately understand why they chose this magnificent spot for their photoshoot.
The panoramic view of Toledo, gracefully cradled by the river, was absolutely breathtaking.
Thanks to our guide, we were able to capture some truly stunning photos here ourselves,
and we couldn't have been happier to preserve these memories...!
With the viewpoint as our final stop, the tour came to an end,
and we made our way back to the heart of Madrid.
