Seceda: A Must-Visit for Your Summer Dolomites Adventure

Hello, fellow adventurers!
Today, I'm thrilled to introduce you to a place that absolutely took my breath away during my Dolomites trip —
a spot we easily visited from Ortisei by taking a comfortable lift ride:
Seceda!

Seceda: What Awaits You?
Seceda is nestled within the Dolomites mountain range,
part of the stunning Odle (Geisler) mountain group,
and sits majestically at an altitude of 2,518m.
Thanks to its dramatically sharp ridges,
it's even earned the nickname 'Ridge of the Devil.'

Despite its high altitude,
you can easily ascend from Ortisei by taking
just two convenient lift rides, making it
a perfect spot for even beginner trekkers to enjoy at their own pace.
It's no wonder that
we saw so many families enjoying their time here!
Seceda Lift Information

📌 Lift Operating Hours
08:00 - 18:00
📍 Boarding Location
Take the escalator (Escalator To town and Several)
to get to the departure point.
→ Then, board the red lift, followed by the second lift.
✔️ Even in summer, it's a good idea to bring a light jacket.
I visited at the end of July,
and the summit temperature was a refreshing 13.5℃.
But don't worry too much if you don't have one!
Feeling the cool breeze after a hike,
standing on the Seceda ridge,
was truly an exhilarating experience.
Scenery & Trekking

Once you ride the lifts up, an expansive, breathtaking panorama unfolds before your eyes.
The vibrant green hills, the sky streaked with drifting clouds,
and the distant, endless ridges looked absolutely picture-perfect.

Just a 10-minute walk up to the end of the ridge will lead you to
a statue of Christ,
where you can discover yet another captivating side of Seceda.

Sitting on a bench, feeling the wind on my face,
was a moment of pure tranquility.

The actual scenery is far more
magnificent and beautiful than any photograph can capture.
