Sapporo Black Label THE BAR Ginza 2026: Tokyo's Must-Visit for Beer Lovers
Uncover Tokyo's best draft beer at Sapporo Black Label THE BAR in Ginza. This 2026 review details their Perfect, First, Hybrid beers, wait times, and menu.

If you asked me my main goal when traveling to Japan, I'd probably tell you it's to enjoy all the incredible beer! And trust me, I've sampled a fair share of brews across the country. After countless pints, one stands out as my absolute favorite: Sapporo Draft Beer. (Yes, I'm the kind of person who could happily spend a week at a beer festival!)
So, on my recent trip, I made a point to visit Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label THE BAR in Ginza. It's the perfect spot to take a quick break while exploring Ginza's upscale streets, and I'm excited to share my experience with you.
✔️ Just a 4-minute walk from Ginza Station!
You'll find it on the B1 floor of GINZA PLACE, directly connected to Tokyo Metro Ginza Station.
Opening Hours
Monday - Saturday: 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM
Sunday: 11:30 AM - 9:00 PM
Reservations & Waiting
I visited without a reservation and waited for about 20 minutes before getting in. If you're not keen on waiting, you can always stop by earlier to make an on-site reservation for your preferred time slot. Just note, they don't accept phone reservations.

This place is super popular with both locals and tourists, so you can almost always expect a crowd.
Interior

The overall vibe is a sleek, clean standing bar, perfect for focusing solely on your beer. However, it's worth noting that all seating is standing-room only, which might be a slight drawback if you're looking to relax and sit down after a long day of exploring.

The menu features detailed descriptions for each beer type. If you need assistance, you can request an English menu.
They offer three distinct types of Sapporo draft beer: Perfect, First, and Hybrid. The only downside? You're limited to two glasses per person, which can be a bit of a bummer if you're really enjoying the brews!
What We Ordered
We decided to try one of each: the Perfect, First, and Hybrid. Since we were already pretty full from dinner, we opted for a light snack – just some nachos as a simple finger food.

Out of the three beers, the Perfect was by far the most impressive. The foam was incredibly fine and creamy, making the first sip unbelievably smooth with no harshness at all. It just glided down!
To be honest, the other two beers, while good, mostly just felt like they had a slightly stronger carbonation and throat feel compared to the Perfect. They didn't leave as distinct an impression.
Sapporo Black Label THE BAR is an excellent standing bar for grabbing a quick, high-quality draft beer while exploring Ginza.
With its standing-only setup, it's perfect for a casual "first stop" or a quick drink before dinner.
If you're a beer enthusiast, adding this to your Ginza itinerary is an absolute ★MUST-DO★!
