Anyway, I spent two nights at Sapa Clay House. Since my entire Sapa itinerary was just three days and two nights, it meant I stayed exclusively at this beautiful property.

Sapa Clay House offers several room types: Standard Rooms, Bungalows, and Executive Suites. The Executive Suites are the most luxurious (and priciest), followed by the Bungalows, and then the Standard Rooms. I figured *that* incredible view must come from an Executive Suite, but I was also really curious about the standalone Bungalows. So, what was my solution? The Bungalows are located to the right, just before you reach the main building where the restaurant is. There are two of them, and they're completely detached from each other. So, if ultimate privacy is what you're after, a Bungalow is definitely the way to go (the Executive Suites, on the other hand, are adjoined to their neighbors).

This gives you a sense of the Bungalow's vibe. The interior bedroom looks like this:

Inside, you'll find complimentary coffee, tea, and fresh fruit, alongside a charming view from the small window. Since it's a standalone unit, you really don't need to bother with the curtains, embracing the open feel.

The bedroom features a lovely mosquito net draped over the bed, adding a touch of exotic charm and ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.

The bathroom is a bit unique – you could almost call it an open-air bathtub experience!

So, that's the general feel of the Bungalow. Now, onto the Executive Suite:

(Just a heads-up: the window directly faces the adjacent room's bathtub, so it might feel a little less private if you have neighbors!)

The faucets have a distinct antique, luxurious feel. It just goes to show how classic design can often exude sophistication. I used to dislike separate hot and cold taps for their inconvenience, but here, it adds to the old-world charm.

The shower and toilet areas are also quite spacious.

The bed is wonderfully spacious, too.

Behind the bed, there's a small, tucked-away desk. I didn't get a chance to use it, but it's there if you need a workspace.

Oh, and one small detail: the Executive Suite uses a card key, whereas the Bungalow had a traditional key.

This was, hands down, the most expensive accommodation of my entire Vietnam trip. So, if you're asking which I'd recommend between the Bungalow and the Executive Suite?

Honestly, I think even a stay in one of the more affordable Standard Rooms wouldn't be a bad choice.
