Let me introduce you to a hidden gem in Shenzhen that all the locals love—
a luxury hotel with major Southeast Asian luxury villa vibes.
My friends saw the photos and immediately asked,
"How on earth did you find a place like this?!" I was so incredibly proud.
Also, the staff told me we were the first Koreans they'd ever hosted here,
so they were so unbelievably sweet to us.
"Ni shi Hanguoren ma...?"
Insanely kind staff + super-luxe facilities + breathtaking ocean view + 24-hour sweet personal butler service
+ all at an incredibly reasonable price (for now...?)

This hotel is located to the east of central Shenzhen, which is where most tourists usually stay.
It's in the Nan'ao area of Shenzhen!
It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours by car
from the financial district in the center of Shenzhen....
To be honest, it's not the closest or most convenient place to get to,
but it is absolutely worth every single minute of the drive.
Plus, taxi fares in China are incredibly cheap!
Even for this long distance, the cab ride only cost about ~$19
ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
I actually felt a little bad for the driver.
But seriously, it feels like a luxury resort right on the beach,
so it's 100% worth the journey!!!!!
Honestly, before going, I was a bit anxious thinking, "Isn't this way too far? Is it in the middle of nowhere?"
But I shouldn't have worried.
If you'd rather not travel too far from the city center of Shenzhen,
there is another hotel with a very similar design that's closer to the city:

The Rooms
Mmm... I was just starting to feel a little guilty toward my friend
when the taxi dropped us off
in a quiet, seaside corner of Shenzhen.
Oh!
Wait, this is way more grand and beautiful than I expected!
Even the entrance to this Shenzhen ocean view hotel is stunning.
It had the vibe of a luxury villa in Ubud, Bali.
BUT we are actually in China!
It doesn't feel like typical China at all, and I absolutely loved it.
On the way to the lobby for check-in,
you can see the outdoor pool of this Shenzhen ocean view hotel.
Definitely swimming here tomorrow!
The friendly staff of the hotel checked us in and guided us to our room.
Our room was on the second floor.
The layout has just one private room on each side of the floor, so it feels very exclusive.
It even has a terrace, which is amazing!
Once you open the door, a spacious 80㎡ room unfolds before you.
Complete with complimentary drinks, snacks, a cozy dining table,
two large, comfortable beds,
one half-bath, another full bathroom featuring an ocean-view tub,
and a wide-open terrace looking right out at the sea.
The overall interior maintains a beautiful, cohesive color palette.
It doesn't feel overly try-hard,
yet it’s incredibly luxurious, calming, and just absolutely perfect...
Every single piece of furniture feels thoughtfully selected and high-end.
The sofa was so spacious and inviting,
perfect for stretching out, sipping a drink, and just lounging around.
Right outside is this stunning view—you'd honestly forget you're in Shenzhen.
Having this gorgeous ocean-view terrace was the ultimate highlight!
And those chairs on the terrace? Such a stylish touch...
It was perfectly shaded, making it so comfortable to sit outside.
That terrace was truly a stroke of genius.
It directly overlooks Shenzhen’s Dongchong Beach,
and the water is incredibly clear...
It’s breathtaking at night, in the morning, and all through the day.
Sipping on the complimentary sparkling water and tea in the morning,
I felt like an absolute VIP in paradise.
Shenzhen's hotel rates are still quite reasonable
compared to places like Zhuhai,
and I was amazed that you can enjoy such pure, luxurious relaxation
at this price point.
This is the entryway of the Sanyea Shenzhen Xishangyu Seaview Hotel,
complete with a De'Longhi kettle and various snacks.
The cup noodle on the right was a Chinese-style cup noodle by Nissin,
and it was absolutely delicious!
Also,
I loved how they provided separate water specifically for boiling tea/noodles,
and gave us plenty of separate drinking water. Such a thoughtful touch!
There’s a mini-fridge too,
and all the drinks and snacks inside are completely free!
After getting used to free mini-bars in China, paying for them back home
feels a little stingy... haha.
The lamp next to the sofa adds such a warm vibe,
and I think the machine next to it is a dehumidifier.
Since it's a beachfront hotel in Shenzhen,
it probably gets a bit humid, so they placed it there.
On the right is the bathtub.
Though it takes a little while to fill up,
there’s a window right next to it,
allowing you to soak while gazing at the beautiful Shenzhen sea view.
It's in China, but feels like an exotic getaway,
yet the price point remains super reasonable.
Absolutely love it.
The beds at the Sanyea Xishangyu Hotel in Shenzhen are incredibly spacious,
with super cozy bedding that guaranteed a perfect night's sleep.
The bathroom floor with the tub has a textured, marble-like feel,
which gives it a very organic, high-end vibe.
The hair dryer is a Dyson,
and the amenities are BVLGARI.
And in the bathroom of the Sanyea Xishangyu Hotel in Shenzhen, China,
the way the towels were hung was so stylish and luxurious...
They also had a garment steamer. Of course, we didn't end up using it,
but it looked super nice...

The Pool & Amenities
1. The Outdoor Pool
This hotel in Shenzhen features a gorgeous outdoor pool.
It's quite long, stretching out to the side,
and they have these cozy beach chairs right in front of the pool.
Those giant ceramic jars inside the pool area
absolutely carry the entire aesthetic...
Hop out of the water, throw on some sunglasses,
and tan right here—it's the ultimate vibe.
(And yes, we actually did this!)
The reason it's totally fine that there are only two beach chairs is because
the local girls
rarely swim in the blazing hot sun.
Hahaha.
For context, this is an incredible hotel where literally 100% of the guests are locals—not a single Korean tourist in sight.
(Well, at least before we arrived!)
It is an absolutely amazing hotel...
It's tucked away at the very edge of Shenzhen,
but that's exactly why you'd want to stay for at least two nights to fully soak it in.
2. 24-Hour Butler Service
+ Food
And this was honestly so incredibly touching...
Can you believe we got this level of service at a hotel that only cost around ~$200...?
My friend who came with me (it was her first time in China)
asked if Chinese people are always this attentive and warm-hearted,
which made me feel so proud!
First of all, when you check into this oceanfront Shenzhen hotel,
they serve you this insanely delicious welcome dessert.
The cake and pastries were seriously to die for.
I'm usually not a big bread person, but every time I come to China,
I end up having the most mouthwatering hotel pastries...
And before going to bed, do you see that red bean soup in the front?
Can you see it?
It's like a sweet 'goodnight' gesture. lol
hahaha
No, but seriously, the hospitality in China is unbelievably sweet... for real...
It's like the ultimate level of 'sweet Chinese hospitality.'
Incredible Chinese service.
They gave us that, and...
We really wanted to have some wine,
so we asked if we could order some at the hotel.
It turned out they didn't have any wine in stock,
but our 24-hour butler staff...
literally went out to a nearby convenience store,
sent us photos of the wine selection, and bought it for us! ;;;;;;
We were like, 'Is this for real?'
But they actually went out and got it for us.
I was absolutely mind-blown...
And before bed, our butler messaged us like this.
(Random side note, but that red bean soup was so sweet and absolutely delicious!)
They told us we could just leave the bowl outside the door when we were done,
reminded us to watch out for mosquitoes,
wished us sweet dreams,
and kindly let us know when breakfast would be served the next day.
Our butler translated everything into English
and messaged us on WeChat.
Crying tears of joy ㅠㅠ
They are so unbelievably sweet... ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Anyway, everything was incredibly delicious and we were in pure heaven.
My friend gave me some 'blessing' (lol) telling me to find a husband who treats me like a 24-hour butler service.
Please, universe, make it happen!
3. The Campfire
And at this ocean-view Shenzhen hotel,
at night, they do this...
A campfire while watching a movie...?
Yes, you can actually do that here!
The hotel was super kind and messaged us the exact timing on WeChat.
But we were the only ones
from the hotel who came out to watch,
so it basically became a private campfire just for us! 🔥
4. Breakfast
At this ocean view hotel in Shenzhen, China,
breakfast is also completely free!!!
But here's how it works:
Before you check in,
they ask you to choose from Menu A, B, or C.
So you just text them your choice via WeChat, and the next morning,
you head down to the same lobby where you checked in
to enjoy your freshly prepared breakfast.
I chose a meat option that leaned a bit Chinese-style.
They said that spice powder on the side was cumin?
They didn't miss a single beat to showcase that authentic local touch,
even down to the dipping sauce for the meat.
Honestly, I was a little envious of how rich their food culture is!
And seriously, everything except for that sandwich was absolute perfection.
The salad was incredibly fresh,
and dipping the meat into the cumin powder
made it literally melt in my mouth.
Plus, the view while having breakfast was stunning.

Right before heading up to the second floor of our accommodation,
there was this cozy-looking
tea room space in between.
My sister kept eyeing it because she wanted to try it out,
but in reality, I ended up drinking all the tea provided in our room anyway! Haha.
Still, it looked so serene and aesthetic.

This is a 5-star hotel with a similar vibe,
located slightly closer to the center of Shenzhen.
A huge perk here is that staying gives you one free yacht ride!
