Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian Review 2026: Prime Location & Breakfast

Planning a trip to Shenzhen? For my recent 3-night, 4-day adventure in this dynamic city, I chose the Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian for the first two nights. This 5-star gem, ideally located near Futian Station, truly exceeded my expectations. From the comfortable rooms to the delightful breakfast, here's my honest review!

The Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian boasts an incredible location, just a 5-minute walk from Futian Station, a major transportation hub in the heart of Shenzhen. This made getting around the city incredibly convenient!

As you'd expect from a 5-star establishment, the lobby was grand and beautifully decorated. I also appreciated the generous check-in and check-out times, allowing for a more relaxed stay.

Past the ground-floor cafe and various Japanese and Chinese restaurants, you'll find the elevators leading up to the guest rooms.

Our assigned room was Superior Room 1909!

It was a corner room, which gave it a unique, slightly staggered wall design. At around 320 square feet, it wasn't overly spacious, but the room felt incredibly fresh, clean, and well-maintained – a fantastic first impression.

Inside the mirrored closet by the entrance, you'll find bathrobes, a safe, and slippers.

The bathroom was impeccably clean and well-maintained! The shower had good water pressure, and the separate shower stall and bathtub area made for a very comfortable experience.

A small drawer contained a variety of disposable amenities, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and combs.

The skincare amenities were from BORGHESE. I looked it up and found it's a rather high-end Italian brand from Rome!

Two complimentary bottles of water were provided, along with a thoughtful selection of three different cup sets: wine glasses, regular glass tumblers for cold drinks, and mugs for tea – perfect for any beverage.

Next to the bed, you'll find a night light, lighting controls, a power outlet, and a USB port, making it super easy to charge your phone right by your side.

One of my favorite spots in the room was this lounge chair! It was wonderful to relax here, read a book, and take in the city views of Shenzhen from the window.

Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian Breakfast

During our 2-night stay, we had planned a day trip to Hong Kong, so we decided to add breakfast on-site only for our last morning. The cost was ~$24 per person, which is a bit on the pricier side compared to local options.

The breakfast spread included made-to-order omelets at the egg station, traditional Chinese congee, and a wide variety of salads and Western dishes.

A definite highlight was the delicious meat noodles, where you could customize your bowl with various meats, vegetables, and dumplings!

Personally, since there are many affordable and tasty breakfast spots near Futian Station, and food delivery is also a great option, I'd suggest that if you're staying for multiple nights, one day of hotel breakfast is probably sufficient to get a taste of it 😉

Plus, Coco Park shopping mall is just a 5-minute walk away, meaning you can easily indulge in famous treats like Holy Land's towel cake or savory Xuanjiu Yiqian lamb skewers! The ability to explore so much on foot, combined with excellent subway and train connections, made the Crowne Plaza's location right in front of Futian Station absolutely perfect.
