Hey there! It's Yenza!
If you're hunting for a budget-friendly gem in Sanur, listen up!
With an amazing location, pool, and breakfast view,
Sanur Resort Watujimbar: Pool, Breakfast, and Private Beach
Here is my super honest, 10/10 review!
Sanur Resort Watujimbar
Pool, Breakfast, and Private Beach

To sum up why I absolutely recommend Watujimbar:
✔️ Massive central pool
✔️ Perfect location near the night market and Icon Bali
✔️ Private mini pool access
These three were the game-changers!
Even though they don't have a private beach on-site,
they offer a free shuttle to a nearby beach and provide dedicated sunbeds,
making it super easy to enjoy a beach day!
Thanks to its location, pool, and facilities, it's a great fit for anyone—
but I highly recommend it for families with kids!
If you're traveling with kids, you MUST book a 1st-floor pool view room!!!

We booked the Deluxe Pool View Twin Room.
The biggest perk was being able to jump into the mini pool
connected right to our room whenever we wanted!!
(We could actually hear the cute giggles of kids splashing around in the evening!)
July to September is Bali's peak season, so if you haven't booked yet,
hurry and check room availability first!!

The Watujimbar Pool
Sanur Resort Watujimbar features a courtyard design
where the building wraps around a massive central pool.

The view of the pool from the lobby is absolutely stunning.
Just looking at it instantly puts you in vacation mode.

Since Sanur isn't quite as overrun with tourists as Canggu yet,
there was a diverse international crowd, which made it feel like a true global getaway.

The main pool is divided into two areas
with depths of 0.8m and 1.5m.
They run water quality checks every day.
Though we were a bit chicken and kept our faces dry, haha.

The closer pool is 0.8m deep,
and the one further away is 1.5m.
There was also a tiny kids' pool with a fountain—
about chest-high for a 6- or 7-year-old child.

Sunbeds are lined up all around the pool.
Sun-loving travelers usually snag the best spots early
and spend the ENTIRE day soaking up the sun.

But if you time it right, you can definitely score a great spot!
You can grab any sunbed you like,
and we got our towels by giving our room number at the center counter by the pool.

There’s a pool bar in the 0.8m deep pool, so you can enjoy some drinks,
and we even redeemed the welcome drink vouchers we got at check-in!!
But honestly, it didn't look super hygienic to me, so I skipped drinking it ^_^
Just snapped a quick photo lol. Gotta protect that stomach from Bali Belly at all costs!!

We didn't plan on swimming every single day,
but out of all the places we stayed in Bali,
this pool was the biggest, most spacious, and the absolute best for swimming, so we ended up jumping in every day!!
Since the pool is so huge, there are various depths and you can use floats and tubes,
so if you love being in the water, you're going to absolutely love it here.
And even if you don't swim, just lounging on the sunbeds is pure bliss.
I noticed a lot of families staying at Swiss-Belresort Watu Jimbar in Sanur,
and it really is a fantastic place to visit, whether you're traveling with parents or kids.
Private Beach
Next up is the private beach!
Normally, when you hear "private beach," you expect it to be right in front of the resort.
However, most resorts in Sanur that have direct private beaches
were a bit too far from Icon Bali Mall.

But it would be a shame to miss out on the beach, right?
Thankfully, Watu Jimbar runs a shuttle to the nearby beach,
and you can even use their dedicated beach sunbeds!

Just tell the front desk that you want to use the beach shuttle,
and they'll hand you a shuttle voucher.
With that voucher, you can ride the shuttle tuk-tuk,
though it's also a walkable distance.

But when the sun is blazing, walking can be really exhausting.
The shuttle saves you from the heat, so I highly recommend taking it! 🔥

They drop you off right near the entrance of the alley.
Once you head down the alley and walk along the beach,
you'll spot the sunbeds marked with Watu Jimbar flags.
Just let the staff there know, pick your favorite sunbed,
and enjoy sunbathing or swimming in the ocean!

Beautiful weather is great, but it gets incredibly hot.
You can buy bottled water from the staff there, but it's quite expensive.
Make sure to grab some bottled water from a convenience store before you head down the alley!!!
Watu Jimbar Breakfast
Lastly, let's talk about the breakfast.
Our room, which included breakfast, was in the ~$64 range,
and while there weren't any exceptionally outstanding or memorable dishes,
everything was decent and there was a really wide variety of choices.

Plus, honestly, when you're having breakfast with a view like this,
anything tastes amazing! ^-^
As long as you don't sit in direct sunlight, it wasn't too hot.
There was a massive selection of breakfast options,
and plenty of early birds were already enjoying their meal.
There was a bit of a scramble for the best seats, but a staff member was there to help guide everyone.

They were grilling up fresh pancakes, waffles, sausages, and more,
and at the egg station, you could customize your eggs
exactly how you like them—scrambled, omelets, fried, you name it!

They also had espresso machines and fresh fruit juicers where you can make your own drinks~~~

For main dishes, there was a huge selection including Nasi Goreng, various stir-fries,
and freshly grilled meats.
(Though the menu stays pretty much the same every day)

With plenty of salads, cereals, seasonal fruits, breads, and cheeses,
it was absolutely perfect for building your own DIY breakfast sandwich!
Would I recommend Watu Jimbar?
If you're planning a family trip to Bali, I highly, highly recommend Sanur!
It's fantastic for young couples who want to browse local boutique shops,
and since the town is relatively compact, all the best spots are easily walkable!!
If you've decided on Sanur for your family vacation, once you factor in location, value, and amenities,
there's really no better place than Watu Jimbar.

Even if you're not much of a swimmer, you can just lounge on a sunbed
and enjoy some slow, relaxing downtime.
And if you have kids, the pool is the ultimate spot for them to splash around and burn off some energy.
They'll love it even more if you book a pool-view room!!
If you have a trip to Sanur, Bali on the horizon,
you're going to absolutely love Sanur Watu Jimbar!!
