Sanur Resort Watujimbar: An Amazing Budget-Friendly Hotel in Sanur, Bali
Hey guys, it's Yenza!
I recently stayed at Sanur Resort Watujimbar, a place famous for being one of the best value-for-money resorts in Sanur, Bali.
I spent 2 wonderful nights in their Deluxe Pool View Twin Room!

Why Choose Sanur Watujimbar?
When I think of Sanur, Bali,
I picture a charming town filled with cute boutique shops and modern shopping centers like Icon Bali—
the perfect blend of sightseeing and pure relaxation!
So when I was looking for a place to stay, my top three priorities were:
✅ Location
✅ Swimming Pool
✅ Value for Money (Affordability)
And guess what?
Sanur Watujimbar absolutely crushed it in all three categories!
1. The Location

The biggest perk? It's just a 10-minute walk
to Icon Bali, the largest shopping mall in Sanur!
While luxury 5-star resorts like Andaz and Hyatt
are closer to the beachfront bars,
they are actually a bit far from downtown hubs like Icon Bali and the local night market.
2. The Swimming Pool
Seriously, the pool here is mind-blowing!

Even though you're in Bali, it has this gorgeous vibe
that makes you feel like you've been transported to a European resort.
No wonder there were so many families enjoying their time here!
The pool is deep and spacious, perfect for actual swimming.
Plus, there’s a swim-up pool bar where you can grab a drink and soak up the sun!
3. Unbeatable Value
But wait, there's more!
Let me tell you just how incredibly budget-friendly Watujimbar is,
especially considering the unbeatable location and pool vibe.

Even though September is peak season in Bali, it's only around ~$64 a night!!!
(Based on Trip.com, prices may vary depending on the room type)
Here are the links to the booking platforms
that I personally use and recommend:
Up to 50% Off (until 8/9) | Frequent discounts on Bali travel deals | Free cancellation available |
Be sure to compare Trip.com, MyRealTrip, and Agoda
to secure the biggest discount!
Just a quick heads-up: July to September is peak season in Bali, so rooms fill up fast.
Make sure to book early before they're all sold out!!
Other Great Features
While these weren’t my primary criteria,
there were several unexpected highlights during my stay that I absolutely loved:

First off, the lobby and check-in area are spacious and super airy.
But the real showstopper is the stunning pool view right from the front desk—
it lifted my mood every single time I walked into the resort!

The breakfast restaurant also overlooks the pool!
There’s nothing like having breakfast with a gorgeous pool view to start your morning right.

Additionally, all the facilities were impeccably maintained and clean.
In the heart of the resort, they also offer free access to
ping-pong tables, a gym, and other amenities,
so there's plenty to do even when you're not in the water.
And last but not least,
you get free access to their private sunbeds on the beach!

They run a shuttle down to the beach,
so if the pool gets too crowded or you just want to soak up some sun,
you can easily head down to the shore to sunbathe and swim in the ocean!

Sanur Watu Jimbar Room Tour & Review
Deluxe Pool View Twin Room
We booked the Deluxe Pool View Twin Room
and were assigned a room on the 1st floor.
At first, I wondered, "Wait, will we even get a pool view from the ground floor?" But...

There's a private, cozy pool for two right on the balcony!!!
We got the best of both worlds—the pool view AND the lush green view! 💚💙
Stepping inside the room (through a heavy, solid door that shuts nice and tight!),

you'll find shelves, an electric kettle, and a mini fridge,
with the bathroom and shower located right across the way.
There's no bottled water in the fridge, but they have a water dispenser in the hallway.
Personally, I'd recommend sticking to bottled water rather than drinking from the dispenser.
The Sleeping Area

It came with two super-single beds, a desk, and a TV.
There was plenty of floor space outside of the beds,
so we could easily lay out two 24-inch suitcases with room to spare!
Even though the beds had spring mattresses, we both slept incredibly well.
The room didn't feel damp at all,
but since the pool is right outside, a tiny bug would pop up every now and then.

Lots of beautiful natural light streams in right next to the desk,
which made it the perfect spot for doing makeup.
The TV picture quality, though... felt like a total trip back in time, haha.
It was actually pretty hilarious.
The Terrace

💙The Mini Pool💙
It is connected to the main pool,
but the garden shrubs offered plenty of privacy.
Plus, there are no closing hours for this mini pool,
so you can enjoy a private dip whenever you want!!!

Enjoying a cold beer or a glass of wine out on the terrace at night
would have been absolutely magical,
but we stayed inside to avoid attracting any bugs.
The Bathroom

I absolutely loved how big and spacious the bathroom was.
The toilet and the shower stall are separated, and there's even a bathtub!
Seriously, the bathroom felt almost like a palace, haha!

The water pressure was strong, and the water looked clean enough to the naked eye.

But a filter shower head is an absolute must! And always use bottled water to brush your teeth.
And yes, this is what happened to my filter after just ONE day...
Since the water was fine in Ubud, I was a bit shocked.
But after that, I realized: water quality is probably going to be similar wherever you go in Bali.
So, definitely bring a shower filter! haha

As for amenities, they provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
They also provided a toothbrush and toothpaste.
The hair dryer had decent airflow.
Even for someone with super thick hair like me, it wasn’t too bad to dry.
Would I recommend Swiss-Belresort Watu Jimbar?
During my stay at Swiss-Belresort Watu Jimbar,
I kept thinking, "There's a reason why this place is so famous among travelers as a budget-friendly Sanur resort."
With its unbeatable location and gorgeous pool,
I saw plenty of families staying here.

The pool area is so gorgeous that it felt like being at a European resort.
Plus, being able to walk to Icon Bali, the night market, and local boutique shops was a huge bonus!
If I ever visit Sanur again, I am 100% staying at Watu Jimbar!!
I highly, highly recommend it as an incredibly budget-friendly resort.
I just can't get over that pool! 🫶🏼
And by the way, if you're worried about there being too many tourists from one specific country, don't worry!
There weren't many Korean tourists in Sanur; there were way more western tourists.
※It definitely doesn't have that crowded "package tour" vibe at all!※

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is it from Sanur Resort Watujimbar to Icon Bali?
It takes about a 10-minute walk to Icon Bali, the largest shopping mall in Sanur. Located near the night market and downtown area, it is easily accessible on foot.
What facilities are on the balcony of the Deluxe Pool View Twin Room on the first floor?
The balcony features a private mini-pool for two that can be used without any time limit. Privacy is ensured as the view is blocked by garden trees, and it is also directly connected to the main pool.
What are the check-in and check-out times at Sanur Resort Watujimbar?
Check-in at the resort starts at 3:00 PM. Check-out must be completed by 12:00 PM.
Is drinking water provided in the room, and how is the water quality in the bathroom?
Bottled water is not provided in the room's refrigerator, and we recommend not drinking from the water dispenser in the hallway. The water quality is poor enough to discolor a shower filter in just one day, so you should bring a personal shower filter and use bottled water when brushing your teeth.
Are there any free facilities available at the beach besides the swimming pool?
Guests can use the private sunbeds provided at the beach free of charge. The resort operates a shuttle to the beach, making it convenient to get there and enjoy the ocean.
