Amed, Bali, has always been one of my absolute favorite travel destinations.
On my most recent visit, I was delighted to see the area
buzzing with even more vibrant energy,
and a wonderful array of new, beautiful accommodations.
Among them, Sama Villa caught my eye. While it's not a grand, luxurious resort,
it offers a clean, stylish, and genuinely charming atmosphere that made me eager to experience it!

Sama Villa is located slightly off Amed's main road.
However, this area is incredibly scooter-friendly, so the location isn't a problem at all.
Amed Beach is just a short 5-10 minute scooter ride away.
Right in front of Sama Villa is Good Stuff Cafe,
known for having some of the best coffee in Amed.
Many visitors specifically seek it out! There's also a charming gift shop next door,
perfect for browsing unique souvenirs.
Breakfast at Sama Villa is also prepared and provided by Good Stuff Cafe, ensuring excellent quality!

Upon entering the accommodation,
the interior ambiance was even more beautiful than it appeared from the outside.
The white-toned buildings blend seamlessly with natural wood accents, and with plants thoughtfully placed throughout,
it truly embodies that perfect Balinese boutique hotel feel!
Rather than an overly ornate style,
it exuded a quiet and comfortable atmosphere.
The rooms are arranged around the central swimming pool, allowing a full view of the property.
What really caught my eye was the pool's vibrant blue color!
It feels more like a picturesque Amed hotel for beautiful photos than a dedicated spot for vigorous swimming.
If you're someone who enjoys a peaceful atmosphere
and a quiet retreat, you'll absolutely adore Sama Villa.
Rooms
The rooms are laid out around the swimming pool, giving you a full view of the property.
There aren't a huge number of rooms, which adds to its intimate feel.
On the day I visited, the weather was sunny, but the sky was a bit hazy.
On a clearer day, you can enjoy
stunning, expansive views of Mount Agung right from your room.
Sama Villa offers guests a choice between Studio and Loft type rooms.
As a relatively newer hotel in Amed, the entire property felt incredibly clean and well-maintained.
No signs of mold or dampness anywhere!
It leans more towards a modern aesthetic than traditional Balinese style,
which perfectly suited my personal taste.
The Loft type features a duplex structure, with high ceilings that create a more spacious and relaxed atmosphere
for your stay.
Amed is a popular destination for travelers coming to enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving,
and freediving, so visitors often spend their days out at sea
and return to the hotel in the afternoon to relax.
With rates starting around ~$73 per night, Sama Villa is an ideal spot
to unwind and recharge, making it a hotel I truly loved.
Given the limited number of rooms, it's always a good idea to book in advance when planning your trip!
