🇪🇸 17-Night 19-Day Spain & Portugal Adventure 🇵🇹
First night in Barcelona, Spain! ✍🏻
Asiana Airlines OZ511 Economy Flight Review (In-flight Meals, Seats, Baggage)
Arrived in Barcelona after a long 14-hour direct flight on Asiana Airlines.
We hopped right onto the Aerobus from the airport and headed straight to Plaça de Catalunya.
📍 Room Mate Pau
Carrer de Fontanella, 7, Eixample, 08010 Barcelona, Spain
By the time we checked into our hotel, Room Mate Pau, it was already past 9:00 PM.
Since it was our very first night in Spain and already pitch dark, we felt a little nervous about wandering too far.
But hunger won, and we needed dinner!
My partner quickly searched on Google Maps and found a spot just a 3-minute walk from the hotel.
It was a cozy Mexican burrito joint! 🌯
Burritos | Sant Pere
📍 Burritos | Sant Pere
Rda. de Sant Pere, 16, Eixample, 08010 Barcelona, Spain
They had indoor seating and a nice outdoor terrace, but we decided to take our food to go and eat comfortably in our hotel room.
🌯🥙🌮
They serve burritos, bowls, tacos, and more, freshly made to order.
We ordered two burritos. You can customize them Subway-style by choosing your own ingredients, or simply order one of their pre-set menu options.

I didn't get a clear photo of the menu, so I can't recall the exact names of the burritos we ordered.
But they packed them generously with all sorts of delicious fillings and wrapped them up perfectly.

My partner asked for a quick proof-of-visit photo, so I snapped one quickly! 📷

Our First Dinner in Barcelona
Warm, hearty burritos!

We ordered two different flavors so we could share and try both.

We paired them with some cold beers we grabbed from the supermarket right in front of our hotel. Pure bliss!
Even though we were exhausted from the long flight and the timezone shift, the excitement of finally being in Spain made everything feel amazing.

My partner was cutting the burritos so neatly with the wooden cutlery, but every time I tried, the utensils kept snapping! I ended up completely destroying mine.
A funny but sad little memory from our first night.

Sigh...
Supermarket Near Room Mate Pau
We had a famous Gaudi tour booked for early the next morning.
Since we didn't add the hotel breakfast option at Room Mate Pau, we decided to visit a local supermarket to grab some quick breakfast items.
Conveniently, there was a supermarket right across the street that stayed open late.

📍 Supermercat Fontanella
Carrer de Fontanella, 10, Ciutat Vella, 08010 Barcelona, Spain
The owner was keeping a close eye on us, so I couldn't take any photos inside the shop! Haha.
We picked up some BEZOYA water, which we heard tastes great and clean.

We also grabbed some pre-made sandwiches and Milka chocolate buns.
And of course, we had to try the Spanish Fanta Naranja (Orange Fanta), which is famous for having actual orange juice content. We secured it on night one! 🍊
After a quick breakfast the next morning, we were fully fueled and ready for our Gaudi tour! ✨

I have so many amazing photos and stories to share about our incredible Gaudi tour with guide Min-chul Ha. I'll make sure to write that post very soon! 🇪🇸
