This is an honest, 'paid for with my own money' review of a Tokyo hotel, written after my personal visit and stay. (As of August 2026)

remm Roppongi is a Tokyo hotel directly connected to Roppongi Station,

making it a fantastic recommendation for travelers looking for a great value stay in Tokyo while minimizing their travel time between sights.

Being right by the station, it's super convenient for moving around with luggage,

making it a hassle-free accommodation choice even for first-time Tokyo visitors.

1. Why remm Roppongi? & Essential Information

Choosing accommodation in Tokyo can feel overwhelming because there are so many options,

but the most crucial factor is the distance between your hotel and the subway station.

While the distances between tourist spots in Tokyo aren't usually vast,

and public transport can get you almost anywhere,

you'll find yourself doing a lot of walking.

That's why the shorter the distance from your accommodation to the subway station,

the better your overall travel experience will be.

Among all the places I've stayed during my Tokyo trips,

remm Roppongi was the one with the absolute shortest walk to the station.

It's just a 1-minute walk from Roppongi Station, so

whether you're coming from the airport or heading to nearby attractions like Tokyo Tower,

or the Roppongi Hills Observation Deck, you can get there quickly on foot.

Even Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Ginza are just one subway ride away,

making it a perfect base for exploring all over the city.

What's more, while areas like Shinjuku and Shibuya are bustling with tourists

and locals, meaning you have to expect a certain level of noise,

remm Roppongi is located in an area with a lot of local business professionals commuting,

so it's quiet at night and safe during the day.

That makes it an ideal spot I highly recommend, especially for first-time Tokyo visitors.

Despite the lower cost, the quality is remarkably good, which is why it's a popular choice for budget-conscious travelers in Tokyo.

However, there's something to keep in mind:

While you can generally book a stay for **around ~$69 per night**,

during peak times like New Year's, Christmas (Roppongi Illumination season), or when booking last minute,

prices can significantly increase, so I highly recommend booking early.

(The year-end period is already sold out!)

Since it's a very popular place, there aren't many spare rooms available,

so be sure to check availability for your travel dates first!

2. My Honest Review of remm Roppongi: A Tokyo Hotel Recommendation

The room I stayed in was the most basic type: an Economy Double room.

Honestly, I really wanted to book a wider twin room,

but it was fully booked when I made the reservation, so I had no choice but to go with a double room.

The first thing I noticed when I stepped inside was, 'Wow, I love how big the window is!'

Most accommodations in Japan tend to be on the smaller side, with some even lacking windows.

But at Remm Roppongi, the window stretched as wide as the bed,

giving the room a wonderfully open and spacious feel.

There was even a massage chair next to the bed – what a treat!

The part I loved most was how spacious the bathroom was.

In many Japanese hotels, bathrooms can feel incredibly cramped due to the presence of a bathtub,

but Remm Roppongi seemed to prioritize spaciousness and comfort by opting for a shower instead of a tub.

The shower wasn't just a flimsy curtain either; it was enclosed with a proper door,

which meant no lingering damp smells. Such a win!

Since this is a disability-friendly hotel, there's a chair inside the shower booth, which I found surprisingly useful.

After all the walking, my legs were aching, and standing for a shower felt impossible,

so being able to sit down and wash was incredibly comfortable.

Even though the room was compact, there was a desk tucked away in one corner,

which was perfect for doing my makeup or getting some light work done.

Amenities were available in the hotel lobby, so you could grab whatever you needed,

and with pajamas provided, there was really nothing extra to pack!

The lobby also had vending machines and a microwave,

which I thought would be super convenient for travelers with kids.

The only real drawback was that the room wasn't particularly spacious.

That's exactly why I tried to book a twin room, but unfortunately, it was sold out.

If you're looking for more space, definitely try to snag a twin room!

Still, if you're a solo traveler or someone of average build,

the Economy Double room will be perfectly comfortable for a good night's sleep.

Even though the room was compact, considering the massage chair, spacious bathroom,

proximity to the station, and overall comfort,

it's definitely a Tokyo hotel I'd love to stay at again.

3. Tokyo Hotel Price Comparison: Trip.com Discount Codes

Honestly, I'm someone who feels that Japanese accommodations tend to be quite pricey despite their small size,

so I'm always on the hunt for the best deals.

When it comes to Tokyo hotels, comparing just these three platforms usually means you'll

find a great deal without losing out!

✅ Agoda: The go-to classic

I usually check Agoda too,

but these three often have the absolute lowest prices.

I compared prices based on the same dates and room type.

When I used it, Agoda was the cheapest,

But comparing now, Kayak is the cheapest,

followed by Trip.com with a discount code applied.

It seems prices change frequently depending on the season and special offers, and since Kayak is a price comparison platform,

it quickly finds the lowest prices.

I highly recommend checking all three places mentioned above.

Since the Japanese Yen has significantly dropped, accommodation prices have also come down a lot, so try to book with immediate payment instead of paying later to get a great deal.
