During my travels in Eastern Canada, I decided to take a private tour from Toronto to Quebec City and Montreal. It was one of the best decisions I made to explore the region comfortably and stress-free.
If you are planning an Eastern Canada getaway, many travelers choose to base themselves in Toronto and take custom multi-day tours to explore further east, which is highly recommended if you want to avoid driving long distances.

On our 3-day, 2-night private Quebec tour, we headed straight to Quebec City first. Since the drive from Toronto to Quebec City is about 500 miles (around an 8-hour drive) one way, we broke up the journey by stopping for a scenic Thousand Islands Cruise in Kingston, Ontario, which was absolutely beautiful.

Our guide mentioned that our Quebec City accommodation wasn't ready for check-in yet. Since the famous "Goblin Hill" was close by, they suggested visiting it first. We made a quick and exciting detour to this iconic spot!

Quebec City is incredibly popular among global travelers, especially K-drama fans, because it served as the magical backdrop for the hit drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin). Many people put this fairytale city on their bucket list just to walk through these romantic filming locations.
Among all the filming spots, the iconic "Goblin Hill" is the most talked-about, located right in the heart of Old Quebec.

Old Quebec is packed with historic charm, amazing local restaurants, and beautiful parks. If you love picnics and European vibes, I highly recommend staying in the Old Quebec area.
At the top of the hill, we saw plenty of locals and travelers relaxing on the grass, soaking in the serene atmosphere.

In the distance, you can see the magnificent Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. This iconic castle-like hotel is heavily featured in Goblin. Inside, you'll even find the famous golden mailbox that fans love to visit.
This breathtaking view is exactly why so many people dream of visiting Quebec City.

To find this exact spot, you can search for Parc du Bastion-de-la-Reine or Pierre-Dugua-De-Mons Terrace on Google Maps. It's also an easy walk up from the Château Frontenac.
While the hill looks high from afar, it's actually a very gentle, easy walk. It's the perfect spot to unwind, and on a clear day, the healing views are absolutely unmatched.

I took so many photos here—sitting on the grass, walking along the ridge, capturing different angles. But honestly, the classic shot sitting on the grassy slope with the Château Frontenac in the background always turns out the most beautiful.

This is exactly what makes Quebec City so magical. Although the forecast predicted rain, the weather cleared up beautifully, leaving us with soft clouds and a cool, refreshing breeze. I felt so lucky to enjoy such perfect weather throughout my trip!
Eastern Canada is vast, but if you're short on time and want to see it all without the stress of driving, booking a curated tour from Toronto is a fantastic, worry-free option.
