Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok Review 2026: Affordable Stay with Stunning Views
Discover the Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok, a hidden gem offering incredible value in the city's historic Old Town. Enjoy local markets, stunning views, and a peaceful retreat.

If you're planning a trip to Bangkok,
Khao San Road and Rambuttri Road are
iconic spots that most travelers visit at least once!
During our Bangkok trip,
we also stayed near Khao San Road and Rambuttri
and really enjoyed our time.
However, after a while, we decided we didn't want to stay in a bustling tourist area
for the entire trip, especially towards the end.
We wanted to relax and unwind in a slightly more tranquil and quiet neighborhood.
So, we started looking for accommodation that wasn't too far from the main attractions,
and was still convenient for getting around to key areas.
We stumbled upon this gem in Bangkok's Old Town:
Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok
Check-in 2:00 PM | Check-out 12:00 PM
📍 Prince Palace Hotel
488/800 Thanon Damrong Rak, Khwaeng Khlong Maha Nak, Khet Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10100 Thailand

1. Prince Palace Hotel Location
The Prince Palace Hotel is located a bit away from
the central Bangkok areas popular with many tourists.
Instead, around the hotel, you'll find wholesale fruit and vegetable markets, local markets,
and the Bobae Market, a major clothing wholesale market.
This meant we could experience a different, more authentic side of Bangkok
compared to the typical tourist spots!
Using Grab, it wasn't inconvenient at all to get to the main tourist attractions.
In fact,
the surroundings were relatively quiet,
making it perfect for a peaceful rest :)

Check-in is at 2 PM, and check-out is at 12 PM, and
a 1,000 Thai Baht deposit is required at check-in.
Many hotels in Bangkok require a deposit,
so it's a good idea to carry some cash with you :)

2. Superior Room Price
I booked a room for about ~$34 per night!
Considering it's a 4-star hotel at this price,
I felt it offered excellent value for money.
It might be an older hotel, but it's well-maintained, reflecting its history,
and the staff were super friendly too!
Hotel prices can vary depending on your travel dates and season,
but it's even possible to book rooms for around ~$29.
If your travel dates are set,
I highly recommend checking prices and booking in advance :)

On the 11th floor, where the lobby is located, you'll also find a lounge bar,
and an outdoor swimming pool, which looked absolutely perfect for enjoying some leisurely time :)
Unfortunately, we didn't pack our swimsuits this time... ㅠㅠ
We were bummed we couldn't swim, but next time,
I'm definitely bringing a swimsuit so I can
enjoy a relaxing swim at Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok!

3. Superior Room Review
The room we stayed in was a Superior Room.
I had read that it was an older hotel and was a bit worried,
but contrary to my concerns,
the room was spacious and clean!

And what's more, when you check in,
it might be a good idea to ask for a room on a higher floor!
The room view was absolutely fantastic :)

Having both a double bed and a single bed
made our stay very comfortable.

From a TV, desk, and wardrobe to a mini-fridge and safe,
everything you'd expect from a 4-star hotel
was perfectly equipped!

Three bottles of water were provided daily,
along with coffee, black tea, and other tea bags.
Basic amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste
were also readily available, which was super convenient.

The bathroom was also quite spacious, which made it really comfortable!
The room I stayed in didn't have a bathtub,
and the shower pressure was a bit weak, which was a minor drawback,
but it wasn't a major inconvenience at all :)

The shampoo was a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner,
so I personally recommend bringing your own conditioner
if you prefer a dedicated one!

4. Bangkok Views and Nightscapes from the Room
But what I loved most of all
were the incredible views and nightscapes from the room!!
Being able to leisurely and comfortably enjoy Bangkok's city view and nightscapes
right from our hotel room
was absolutely, truly wonderful...❤️

Both my boyfriend and I were completely satisfied!!
Although our room wasn't on the very highest floor,
being on the 28th floor still offered a fantastic high-rise perspective, allowing us to
gaze out over the expansive Bangkok city.
It felt so liberating :)
For a 4-star hotel at around ~$29 per night,
it's an amazing value hotel in Bangkok, right? :)

During the day, we got to see the vibrant Bangkok cityscape,
and at night, with the added sparkle of building and road lights,
we could enjoy a truly magnificent night view :)

We bought some snacks from the night market right near the hotel
and made highballs to enjoy – yum!~
Being able to comfortably spend quality time in our room
really helped us wrap up our trip in a fulfilling way :)

5. Enjoying the Lounge Bar
We could also enjoy Bangkok's night views from the lounge bar!
The atmosphere was completely different
from how it felt during the day :)

Ordering beers and cocktails,
we enjoyed a lovely, intimate time.
There was absolutely no need to go to other expensive rooftop bars!
I'm already planning another trip to Bangkok this winter,
and I might just go back to Prince Palace Hotel again :)

The hotel is quite large, so the lobby and public areas were also spacious,
making Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok a truly comfortable place to enjoy!

6. Luggage Storage (Bonus!)
On our last day, since we had a late-night flight,
we checked out and stored our luggage at the hotel.
We could store our luggage for free on the first floor,
and they even had a scale to check our luggage weight!
They have facilities to store your luggage, which was super convenient!
It was perfect for dropping off our bags, exploring Bangkok city,
and then heading straight to the airport!
Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok is, in my opinion,
a fantastic choice for anyone looking for
spacious rooms and top-notch hotel amenities
at an incredibly reasonable price :)
What truly sets it apart is that even as a 4-star hotel,
you can book it for an amazing price, starting around ~$29,
and the city views and Bangkok nightscapes from the room
were absolutely breathtaking!❤️
So, if you're on the hunt for an excellent value 4-star hotel in Bangkok,
definitely consider comparing Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok
with your options :)
