Antalya's All-Inclusive Portobello: A 5-Star Gem We Visited with Mom

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Turkey to celebrate my mom's special birthday!
For our last stop in Antalya,
I really wanted to surprise her with a hotel where we could truly kick back, indulge in delicious food, and just swim, rather than rushing around sightseeing!
While I'd only ever heard talk of all-inclusive hotels,
it was a first for our whole family, so we truly dove into the research!
Since it was peak season, almost everything was booked solid, to my dismay! 😭

However, Portobello still had rooms available, even in the bustling peak season of July,
and the price was just right, so I booked it without hesitation! ✨
Having experienced it firsthand, from breakfast to lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks,
plus access to a private beach, it felt like we truly got our money's worth and then some, even for just one night! 😂
Today, I'm going to give you a complete rundown of Antalya's Portobello,
covering everything from insider booking tips and prices to rooms, facilities, and, of course, the food!

Why We Chose Portobello & Our Booking Price

When you start searching for value-for-money all-inclusive options in Antalya,
you'll often see
Portobello and Sealife popping up side-by-side in comparisons.
After diving deep into the prices and reviews for both resorts,
Sealife was slightly cheaper, but
based on comparisons of food and facility experiences, Portobello won us over!
Comparing Two 5-Star All-Inclusive Hotels on Antalya's Beach
| Portobello | Sealife |
Price (1 night) | Around ~$270 | Around ~$248 |

We snagged the most basic Economy Room
for around ~$270 for one night at the very end of July, which is the absolute peak season!
If you plan your trip beyond October, you could book it for around ~$220!
After doing extensive research myself,
I can confidently say that for all-inclusive hotels in Antalya,
Agoda offers the best prices!! (Seriously, skip Booking.com for this one!)
Prices can vary quite a bit depending on your dates, so make sure to pop in your travel dates below and check out the real-time prices!
11 AM Check-in & How to Make the Most of Your Stay

I took a taxi from our accommodation in Antalya's Old Town
all the way to Portobello.
Just for your reference, the Uber taxi fares were approximately:
Old Town to Hotel: 700 Lira
Hotel to Airport: 1000 Lira
for those routes.

While the official check-in time is 2 PM,
we arrived around 11 AM and were delighted to be assigned our room right away!
As soon as we checked in, they slipped a wristband on us for access
and also handed us a handy guide detailing meal times and facility hours.
The one on the right is a Korean translated version I made for my mom's convenience,
so feel free to use it as a reference if you need! 😊

Given how incredibly busy the hotel was during peak season, they didn't automatically offer to carry our luggage, which is understandable.
We were quite exhausted from our journey, so we simply asked a staff member,
and they kindly brought our bags right up to our room!
And a crucial tip: if you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary, make sure to add that request when you're booking!
(Specifically, in the requests section on Agoda).
I actually sent a separate email mentioning it was my mom's birthday,
but they hadn't gotten around to reading it by the time we left, haha.
Economy Room Review

Given it's an older hotel, you shouldn't expect ultra-modern luxury rooms.
However, compared to what I worried about after seeing some not-so-great reviews,
the condition was actually pretty good!

The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable.
There were also power outlets next to each bed.
When we pushed the two beds together, the room actually felt much more spacious, haha!
There was also plenty of room to open our suitcases.

You could connect to Netflix and YouTube on the TV,
and everything in the minibar was free!

I didn't expect much since we were on a lower floor,
but the view of palm trees through the large window was absolutely lovely!
Antalya in July truly has such beautiful skies.

The bathroom was also clean.
But there was an issue with the toilet continuously flushing,
so I requested a repair at the front desk,
and they came to fix it in less than 5 minutes!
All-Inclusive Meal Schedule

Now that we've checked in, it's time to fully enjoy everything, right?!
At Portobello, you can truly eat and drink non-stop!
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, mid-day snacks, and even a patisserie bar!

The Porto Bar, where you can enjoy local alcoholic beverages and drinks,
operates 24 hours a day!
A true paradise for those who love a drink!

In the main restaurant,
there was a wide variety of options, including cheeses, salads, fruits, hot dishes, and grilled items!

Basically, all the Turkish food we know was there,
from steaks, fish, and fruits to various desserts – absolutely nothing was missing!

Dinner had the most diverse and delicious menu, so
don't eat too much starting from lunch,
and definitely pace yourselves, haha!
Private Beach and Swimming Pool (+Gym, Sauna)

I got to enjoy both swimming in the sea and relaxing by the hotel pool!
The pool was surprisingly deep too, which made it even more fun, haha!

The beach right in front of the hotel is a private beach,
and since only hotel guests can use it, it wasn't crowded at all.
The water was incredibly clean, and with sunbeds and parasols provided,
we just relaxed and played on repeat!
The sea is surprisingly deep, so
definitely bring a tube and goggles—you'll have even more fun! lol

There's also a snack bar exclusively for guests right in front of the beach!
They have a variety of things like ice cream, juice, snacks, and more, and of course, it's all free!
A little extra tip:
When I went swimming, I put my phone in my bag and left it on the sunbed,
and nobody seemed to pay any attention to it!
Still, it's always better to be extra cautious when you're abroad.

There's an indoor pool, sauna, and even a gym!
Overall Review of our 1-Night Stay, Including Lunch After Checkout

Checkout time at Portobello is 12 PM, but
amazingly, even after checking out,
you can still stay and have lunch!
We leisurely enjoyed breakfast in the morning,
packed our bags and checked out (you can store your luggage!),
then had lunch before heading to the airport.

Although we only booked for one night, you can use the facilities from 11 AM
until lunch on the next day! lol
Considering Antalya's high prices,
this place offers incredible value for money!

This accommodation was prepared to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday,
and being able to eat, swim, and relax so comfortably,
I think we made a great choice picking it as our last stop!
If you're planning a family trip with your parents,
or if you're experiencing an all-inclusive hotel for the first time,
I highly recommend Antalya Portobello!!
