Explore Antalya's Kaleiçi Old Town and uncover Beerzone, a fantastic pub serving up authentic Turkish beers like Efes and Belfast Lager. Perfect for a memorable evening!

During my trip to Antalya, Turkey, I visited
a fantastic spot in the Kaleiçi Old Town—
this is my review of Beerzone!

I savored Turkey's national beer, Efes Pilsener,
along with the richer Belfast Lager,
all enjoyed in the wonderful ambiance of an Old Town pub.
In today's post, I'll be sharing:
① The unique charm of Antalya's Kaleiçi Old Town,
my authentic review of ② Beerzone Pub (paid for by me, so you know it's real!),
and ③ A dive into Turkish beer types and their characteristics!
01. Antalya's Kaleiçi Old Town
📍 Kaleiçi Old Town
Kılınçarslan Mahallesi Hesapcı Sokak, Kılınçarslan, Kaleiçi, 07100 Muratpaşa/Antalya, Turkey
📍 Hadrian's Gate
Barbaros, Atatürk Cd, Barbaros, Hadrian Kale Kapısı, 07100 Muratpaşa/Antalya, Turkey
Antalya's city center is broadly divided into two main areas,
with Hadrian's Gate serving as the boundary: the Old Town and the New Town.
▪️New Town: Antalya City Center
Everything modern you see outside Hadrian's Gate and the city walls,
including trams, main streets, shopping areas, and supermarkets.
▪️Old Town: Kaleiçi
An area enveloped by ancient Ottoman-era relics,
featuring cobblestone alleyways, flower-adorned walls,
charming old-world hotels, and delightful bars and cafes.

Especially within the Kaleiçi Old Town,
you'll find a lively cluster of pubs, bars, and restaurants.
We visited past 10 PM,
and even then, many people were enjoying beers and meals
at the outdoor terrace tables.

I even booked my accommodation in Antalya, Turkey,
in a spot located right in Kaleiçi Old Town.
Just a 1-minute walk from Beerzone to our accommodation!
Exit our accommodation, turn into an alley, and boom,
you're right on the pub street. It was that close!
Even with so many pubs and restaurants around, we didn't hear much noise
from our accommodation, so it wasn't loud at all.
In fact, it was fantastic to be so close when heading back after a drink! Haha.
I stayed at Kesik Apart for 3 nights and 4 days.

02. Antalya's Must-Visit Spot: Beerzone
📍 Beerzone
Kılınçarslan, Hesapcı Geçidi Sk. No:54, 07100 Muratpaşa/Antalya, Turkey

There were so many pubs around, but this one just drew me in!
Beerzone. It just gave off vibes of having amazing beer.
*Opening Hours: 12 PM ~ 1 AM

Drinking at an outdoor terrace table always feels great,
and the ambiance was perfect, so we settled right in!

▪️Beerzone special plate 640 Lira (~$12)
We weren't particularly hungry, but we wanted something tasty to go with our beers,
so we ordered the Beerzone Special Platter, which lets you try a variety of dishes at once!
It came with french fries, onion rings, sausages, meat,
chicken tenders, and more—absolutely perfect accompaniments for beer.

▪️Piliç Izgara (grilled chicken) 360 Lira (~$7)
While enjoying our beers, we found ourselves craving a bit more, so we ordered the grilled chicken!
We got grilled chicken, and it also came with a mountain of fries, of course! Haha.
It was served with grilled vegetables and tortillas, which you could wrap together.
It was quite delicious and paired wonderfully with the beer too!

▪️Efes Pilsen 500ml 150 Lira (around ~$3)
▪️Belfast Irish Lager 500ml 150 Lira (around ~$3)
We each had two glasses of beer too.
Maybe it's because it was draft beer,
but it tasted even better, so I think we drank a lot.. haha
The vibe of Antalya's Old Town was just so good,
I just kept on drinking..❤️
03. Turkish Beers
Efes, Bomonti, Belfast

When I visited Beerzone in August 2025,
the Beerzone Beer Festival was ongoing.
I could enjoy happy hour prices, which offered a discount of around ~$1-2
from the original prices.
The draft beers available at Beerzone in Antalya are
a total of four types: Efes, Bomonti, Belfast, and Erdinger.

Among these, the Turkish beers are Efes, Bomonti, and Belfast!
▪️Efes (Efes Pilsen)
It's a traditional pale lager, a pilsner, and Turkey's national beer.
Characterized by its strong refreshing crispness and bitter hop flavor,
it has a clean and cool finish,
making it a perfect match for grilled dishes or oily appetizers.
▪️Bomonti (Bomonti)
It's a pale lager that originated in Istanbul in 1890,
and is Turkey's first beer. The unfiltered
Bomonti Filtresiz is its most representative version.
It has less bitterness and tends to be smooth and mellow.
▪️Belfast (Belfast)
It's an Irish-style lager, planned and produced in Turkey,
and it's heavier than Efes, with a sweeter malt flavor and richer aroma.

If you want a crisp, refreshing kick and a bitter note → Efes
If you want a smooth finish and a mellow flavor → Bomonti
If you like a rich, full-bodied malt flavor → Belfast
Keep these in mind and definitely try Turkish draft beer!

A furry friend I saw while drinking beer at Beerzone!
It wasn't barking and was so gentle, so I took a picture haha
Beerzone, the place I visited on the day I arrived in Antalya, Turkey.
If you want to relax and enjoy a glass of Turkish beer,
I highly recommend visiting Beerzone!❤️
