1. Finding Pison Ubud: Location and Wait Times
Everyone raves that Pison is an absolute must-visit when you're in Ubud, Bali! You know how it is when you're traveling abroad – finding a spot popular with fellow travelers often means it's a reliable, delicious choice. Pison, in particular, is renowned for its fantastic steaks.
It was also conveniently close to Tegalsari, where I stayed the night before, so I dropped off my luggage and headed to Pison for lunch.

I arrived around 11:00 AM and already saw a significant line. They estimated about a two-hour wait. So, I put my name on the list and popped into a nearby grocery store. It wasn't until later that I realized I'd missed a golden opportunity: the famous Monkey Forest was only about a 16-minute walk away!

With a two-hour wait, there's actually plenty of time to visit the Monkey Forest! I've included a booking link for Monkey Forest tickets below, so if you plan to visit during your wait, why not book your tickets in advance?

I finally got seated around 12:30 PM. Stepping inside, I was struck by how beautiful the interior was, and it was packed with fellow travelers! It felt so comfortable and inviting, almost like being at a popular spot back home.
2. Pison Ubud: Menu and Prices
As soon as I sat down, I checked out the menu and was genuinely surprised by the prices. Pasta dishes were around ~$5, and steaks were about ~$20! It was so incredibly affordable that it made me even more excited to see if the taste lived up to the hype.

The menu itself was well-designed and tempting, with a great selection of salads, pastas, and steaks that really caught my eye.

After much deliberation, I decided to order a steak, a pasta dish, a rice dish, and even a burger!
3. My Honest Review of Pison Ubud's Food
I placed my order and was amazed at how quickly the food arrived – almost like a fast-food joint, but with gourmet presentation! I started with a salad, and the plating was absolutely pristine.

The tuna was delicious, with no hint of fishiness. Next up were the Vongole Pasta and the Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice! The flavors were just as satisfying as anything you'd find back home. If you're ever worried about local Balinese cuisine not suiting your palate, Pison is definitely the place to go.

Then came the highly anticipated Steak Fritter. The meat was perfectly tender, not chewy at all, and hit all the right notes for my taste buds! I truly can't recommend it enough. And remember, you can enjoy it for under ~$21.

Even though I was already quite full, my curiosity got the better of me, and I ordered the Red Velvet Burger.

This burger had a striking color, and the patty inside was perfectly seasoned. However, the portion wasn't huge, so I'd say about three dishes would be ideal for two adults. If you visit Ubud, Pison is a must-try! Just don't wait around for your table – I highly recommend doing some shopping at a nearby market or, even better, exploring the Monkey Forest.
