If I had to pick the most memorable part of this Vietnam trip,

it would undoubtedly be the Nha Trang Phan Rang Desert Tour.

While city food tours and island hopping were great,

I really wanted to soak in some exotic natural scenery for a day.

Before heading out, I did a lot of research, carefully comparing

whether to go private or join-in,

and whether the itinerary included Po Klong Garai Temple and the sheep farm.

Even though I opted for a join-in tour, after experiencing the travel and waiting times,

I realized that a private tour would be much more comfortable

for couples or families.

Today, I'll share my actual itinerary, a review of the sheep farm, the differences between private and join-in tours,

Magnificent History Etched in Red Brick

1. Po Klong Garai 🛕

The first stop on our tour was **Po Klong Garai Temple**, a **historic site of the Hindu Champa Kingdom**.

We drove for about **1 hour and 30 minutes by car** from Nha Trang city center to get there, and the **overwhelming presence of the red brick temple** standing tall on the hill was truly magnificent.

Thanks to the **red architecture contrasting beautifully with the blue sky**, every shot felt like a postcard!

In particular, the **open panoramic view of Phan Rang city** from **atop the temple** was more than enough to wash away all the fatigue from our journey.

2. Phan Rang Local Lunch 🍜

After exploring Po Klong Garai Temple, we moved on **for lunch**.

After traveling all morning and exploring the temple, it was definitely time to get hungry! But having a **meal scheduled before heading into the Phan Rang Desert** made the whole itinerary feel surprisingly relaxed.

It was also convenient that we didn't have to search for a restaurant separately in the middle of the tour; our **meal was perfectly integrated into our itinerary**.

The meal was primarily **local Vietnamese cuisine**, and it was delicious! The spice flavors weren't too strong or unfamiliar, so it was **accessible and enjoyable for most palates**.

4. Phan Rang Desert 🛻

After lunch, we headed to today's highlight: the **Phan Rang Desert (Nam Cuong Desert)**.

At the desert entrance, we transferred to a **vibrant 4x4 jeep**, and that's when the dopamine really started flowing!

The jeep ride, going up and down the steep sand dunes, was

much more thrilling than most amusement park rides.

We also captured some incredible 'life shots' (aka Instagram-worthy photos) right in the middle of the vast desert,

and even had a blast sandboarding!

Traveling 8 hours round trip to Mui Ne Desert felt a bit daunting, so it was truly amazing

to find such an otherworldly desert experience right near Nha Trang.

5. Sheep Farm Experience 🐑

After burning off all that energy in the desert, our next stop was

a sheep farm where endless green pastures stretched as far as the eye could see.

At first, I thought, 'A sheep farm in Vietnam?'

But it turned out to be such a healing spot, I would have regretted not going!

We got to directly feed the sheep as they grazed peacefully

in the pristine natural surroundings, and captured so many

beautiful, heartwarming snapshots against the backdrop of the lush green fields and clear blue sky.

The itinerary, allowing us to see both the red desert and green pastures all in one day,

was incredibly satisfying.

After completing all the activities, we were safely and comfortably

dropped off at The Westin Cam Ranh Hotel, as requested.

It's a perfect itinerary that even saves you transportation costs if you use the tour
