My parents and I went on a
3-day, 2-night canyon tour,
but our one night in Vegas was something we booked separately.
We basically only spent our time sleeping at the hotel,
but I still wanted to get great value for money,
and there was no way I was giving up a Strip view!!
So, the place I chose was none other than
Park MGM Las Vegas.
Today, I'll be sharing my very honest review
of my actual stay :)

Park MGM has its own parking lot.
I didn't use it since I was on a tour,
but it's good to know for those exploring Las Vegas with a rental car.

Luggage Storage
I stored my luggage at the bell desk,
located opposite the front desk.
They'll give you a ticket when you drop off your bags,
so make sure not to lose it!
When it's time to pick up your luggage, you can
request it at the luggage retrieval kiosk
right next door,
and a tip of around $2-3 is appreciated!

Park MGM is located
right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.
For canyon tour travelers with
limited time in Vegas,
this location is truly important.
We checked in the day before our tour,
and even for our early morning pickup the next day,
its central Strip location made access incredibly convenient.
While it might not be a view of the absolute
center of the Strip like you'd get from the Cosmopolitan,
you can clearly see the Coca-Cola Store and
M&M's World right outside the window.
It felt like the heart of the tourist district was
right inside my window,
which just put me in a great mood!
Park MGM Check-in -
No Lines with Kiosks!
One of Park MGM's great advantages is its
kiosk check-in and check-out system.
No need to queue at the front desk!
Our guide dropped us off right at check-in time, 3 PM,
but the front desk had
an absolutely massive line.
Having just returned from the canyon tour, I was already
feeling completely exhausted and heavy-limbed.
So, being able to check in at the kiosk in just 5 minutes
and head straight up to my room
was a far bigger advantage than I had imagined!
They text you once your room is ready.
The same goes for check-out.
I had an early morning departure planned,
so I was worried, but I could check out instantly.
I imagine it would be even more useful during peak check-out times.
Just pop your key into the slot next to the kiosk!
💡 Tip: I checked in via kiosk at 3 PM,
and received a text saying my room wasn't ready yet.
I wandered around the Strip until 6 PM,
but still hadn't heard anything, so I joined the front desk queue again.
The staff member immediately apologized and
upgraded me to a room on the 21st floor!
If your room isn't ready on time, speak directly to the front desk!
You might even get an upgrade! 😄
Park MGM Rooms
Clean and Just What You Need
The room was clean and no-frills.
It's the perfect environment to utterly crash in
after a canyon tour.
The bed was super comfy, and
perhaps because it was on the 21st floor,
the view was better than I expected!
Rather than expecting a particularly luxurious interior,
it feels more like a clean and comfortable business hotel.
If your itinerary, like a canyon tour, mainly involves just sleeping there,
then I think this is actually the right choice.
The bathroom still has a rainfall shower head...
It was a tiny bit inconvenient, but perfectly fine.
All the basic amenities were provided.
Park MGM Casino
A Smoke-Free Casino for a Breath of Fresh Air
Do you know what one of the biggest downsides of Las Vegas casinos is?
It's the smell of cigarette smoke.
Many people find the sudden waft of smoke
as soon as they step into a casino quite bothersome, right?
Park MGM is
one of the few entirely smoke-free casinos
in Las Vegas.
The air in the casino genuinely feels different.
Given the nature of Las Vegas,
when you're constantly moving in and out of hotels,
You can't avoid passing through the casino
to get around, but
ParkMGM is a non-smoking casino,
so it was really pleasant.
Even if you're not interested in casinos,
you won't feel uncomfortable walking through the lobby,
which I realized was a bigger advantage than I expected.

Price & How to Book
For this price point on the Strip,
it's one of the best hotels if you just need a place to sleep
for your canyon tour.
Especially for the street-view rooms,
quantities are limited, so it's best to book quickly
once your itinerary is set.
Weekends can be a liiittle pricier.
I intentionally planned my canyon tour
to be on a weekday in Vegas
to save on accommodation costs.
Canyon tours are already expensive, alas,
so I had to save wherever I could!

the prices vary so much across sites.
Also, make sure to check if resort fees and taxes
are included.
Always check for the lowest price,
and if you think it's a good deal,
book it right away!

so you never know when they might skyrocket.
