Recommended Paris Accommodation Locations
Paris 8th Arrondissement ~ Hotels Near the Eiffel Tower: Your Ultimate Guide
🇫🇷 As I was preparing for my trip to Paris, France, one of my biggest dilemmas was **choosing the perfect accommodation location**.
Paris isn't a city where all the tourist attractions are concentrated in one spot.
Instead, must-see sights like the **Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, the Arc de Triomphe, and Montmartre** are spread across various areas, meaning your **travel itinerary can change quite a bit** depending on where you decide to stay.

I, too, researched accommodation locations extensively, and in the end, I actually **stayed at two different hotels in the Paris 8th arrondissement**.
Unlike me, who was looking for **value-for-money accommodation** for a month-long European trip, those on a honeymoon or looking for a more relaxed stay in Paris might be seeking **Eiffel Tower views or hotels near major attractions**.
So, in this post, I've put together a comprehensive guide including:
✔️ the two Paris hotels I personally stayed at,
✔️ prime locations for first-time Paris visitors to find accommodation, and everything from
✔️ value-for-money hotels to accommodations near the Eiffel Tower.

Where's the Best Place to Stay in Paris?
From the 8th Arrondissement to Eiffel Tower View Hotels

* Please note: This map is for **illustrative purposes only and should be used as a general reference. ***
Region | Features & Advantages | Disadvantages |
8th Arrondissement / Champs-Élysées · Arc de Triomphe | Excellent balance of transport, shopping, and sightseeing Easy access to Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe | Can be crowded with tourists |
9th Arrondissement / Opéra · Galeries Lafayette | Convenient location for department stores and transport Good access to Galeries Lafayette | Can be busy and crowded |
1st Arrondissement / Louvre · Tuileries | Strong central location for walking to major attractions; good access to the Louvre, Tuileries, and Seine River | Higher price range due to prime location |
7th Arrondissement / Eiffel Tower | Great area to enjoy Parisian ambiance and Eiffel Tower views | Eiffel Tower view rooms tend to be expensive |
6th Arrondissement / Saint-Germain | Quiet atmosphere with charming cafes and alleyways | Less convenient for major shopping and transport compared to the 8th and 9th arrondissements |
I've created a table outlining the features, advantages, and disadvantages of each area.

For me, this was my second time in Paris. Since I was touring Europe for a month, **accommodation price was important**, and I also tend to prefer areas close to metro or bus lines, with restaurants and shops open in the evening. That's why, for my actual **trip, I chose the 8th arrondissement**.
Accommodation in Paris's 8th Arrondissement

This is an area I personally felt was great for finding accommodation. My hotel was located in the **Saint-Augustin area of Paris's 8th arrondissement**, and with Saint-Augustin and Miromesnil stations nearby, **public transport was incredibly convenient**. (I also found it easy to get to the Champs-Élysées from here.)
Haussmann Saint Augustin
Hôtel Haussmann Saint Augustin

I was actually looking for a value-for-money hotel in the ~$146 to ~$219 range, and I booked this one because it looked incredibly clean.

Stepping inside, the ambiance was truly delightful, no photo filters needed!
Considering how bustling and sometimes a bit... 'lively' the streets can be here, ^^...
To find such a clean, tidy, and inviting atmosphere at this price point was incredibly satisfying.
I truly enjoyed my stay.

The bathroom was also on the cleaner side,
and perhaps because of its cleanliness relative to the price, the hotel’s rating is quite high.

Amenities like a refrigerator, coffee machine, and TV were also provided.
The only minor drawback was that the space to fully open a large suitcase wasn't particularly generous.
This is quite common and understandable in Europe,
but for those who prioritize room size, you might want to check out the accommodations I recommend below!
Accommodations with a Terrace View
Hôtel Elysées Opéra
Hôtel Elysées Opéra

The next hotel we stayed at was chosen because my sister, who traveled with me,
had a strong desire for a terrace view in Paris.
So, the Hôtel Elysées Opéra became our pick for an affordable terrace-view hotel!

While there are certainly more spacious rooms available,
we opted for a great value room around ~$146.

During our actual visit, it was a little disappointing that it rained on the first day,
but the next day, the clear skies revealed incredible views and charming alleyways,
and the atmosphere was absolutely enchanting! ✨

Finding twin beds in France can be quite a challenge,
but since it was possible here, I think we were even more delighted!
With a bus stop nearby and the metro station within easy reach,
exploring the city was incredibly convenient.

They even provided Evian water, and the lobby and amenity services were equally
satisfying. Plus, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! 😊
If you're hunting for a great value hotel in the 8th arrondissement, I highly recommend these two gems!

Paris 1st Arrondissement Accommodation
Hôtel Britannique
Hôtel Britannique

📍 Hôtel Britannique Paris
20 Avenue Victoria, 75001 Paris
✔ Walking distance to the Louvre Museum
✔ Close to the Seine River and Île de la Cité
✔ 1-2 minute walk to Châtelet Station
✔ Prime location in Paris's 1st Arrondissement, perfect for a tourism-focused trip

This accommodation is in a great location for exploring major tourist attractions like the Louvre Museum, the Seine River, and Île de la Cité on foot, and its proximity to Châtelet Station makes it easy to get around Paris by subway.

What's more, since you can reach the Louvre Museum in just a 10-minute walk, those whose main goal is to explore the museum will find this incredibly convenient.

The rooms have a classic yet distinctly Parisian boutique hotel style, so I sought this place out because I thought it would be a perfect fit for those who want to prioritize both location and ambiance.
I also checked out Hôtel Regina Louvre, but a night there was...
~$584 per night.... shudder!

The red interior of the rooms isn't super fancy, but... haha.
Some reviews say you can even see the Eiffel Tower if you get a room on the top floor!

When I was researching, it was priced around ~$146 to ~$292, even though it's in Paris's 1st arrondissement.
It's a pretty good value-for-money option, so if accessibility to the Louvre and other major attractions is important to you, I'd recommend checking it out.
