Onsi Spa Nha Trang Review 2026: Best Massage Ever?

I've stumbled upon an absolute gem of a massage spot in Nha Trang, and I just had to share it with you.

I didn't actually plan this visit or do any deep-dive research beforehand. I was just wandering around the neighborhood on my very first day when it caught my eye.

Something about the vibe felt right, so I quickly looked them up on Google Maps. To my surprise, Onsi Spa had a stellar 4.9-star rating with over 2,450 reviews!

Peeking inside, the place was absolutely packed with happy customers. I knew right then and there that I had to book a session. However, my itinerary was incredibly tight, so I only managed to squeeze it in on my very last day in town.

Since my hotel checkout was at 12:00 PM and I had to head straight to the airport afterward, I booked the very first slot of the morning. (Note: The menu lists the opening time as 9:00 AM, but they actually open at 9:30 AM. I confirmed this with the staff, so keep that in mind!)

Upon arrival, they serve you a refreshing welcome drink and hand you an intake form. Make sure to fill this out carefully, especially the section where you specify which areas need extra attention.

I constantly suffer from a stiff neck and lower back pain, so I checked those two boxes. The result? Absolutely incredible. The therapist managed to apply deep, targeted pressure right into those stubborn knots.

I used to have this preconceived notion that Thai massages are for deep-tissue work while Aroma massages are purely superficial and relaxing. Well, Onsi Spa completely shattered that stereotype for me today.

If only I had visited earlier in my trip instead of the final day! I would have booked a daily session here just to get my neck and shoulders sorted out.

Whoops, I jumped ahead to the post-massage bliss! Let's dial it back to the preparation stage: choosing your massage oil.

The oil scents here are distinct and high-quality, making it super easy to choose. When the scents are too faint or generic, it's always hard to make up your mind.

I was torn between the classic, soothing Lavender and my personal favorite, Lemongrass. In the end, I went with Lemongrass. I usually love it as a room diffuser, and even though applying it directly to the skin is a bit different, it felt like the right call—and it definitely was!

Before choosing the oil, I had a hard time deciding between a Thai massage and an Aroma massage. I finally opted for Aromatherapy at the last second, as it's usually the signature service at these boutique spas.

One interesting detail about their Thai massage menu is that they offer both "with oil" and "without oil" options. I haven't really seen other spas in Nha Trang offer this combination.

Since traditional Thai massage is famous for being a "dry" treatment, seeing a "with oil" option was pretty intriguing.

When I asked, the staff explained that because traditional Thai stretchings can sometimes feel too intense or painful, this hybrid version uses oil for about 30% of the session and classic Thai techniques for the remaining 70% to smooth out the experience.

If you choose the completely dry option (No. 11), they will actually double-check with you to make sure you're comfortable with a highly intense, potentially painful stretch.

A look at the cozy interior

Now, here is one minor thing that could be improved on their intake form—though this might just be a specific preference for travelers who love deep tissue work.

The form asks you to choose your preferred style: "Stroking/Rubbing" versus "Acupressure/Deep Tissue." Naturally, most people looking for a strong massage will select "Acupressure."

But if you select "Acupressure" and then choose "Aromatherapy" from the menu, the receptionist will say, "Oh, but Aromatherapy is a stroking style, and you selected acupressure." This creates a slightly confusing loop.

This happened to me, and I noticed it happened to almost every other guest checking in right after me as well!

I'd love to see if they update this on my next visit. Simply changing the translation of "stroking" or placing the intensity level as a sub-option *under* the chosen massage type would make the booking process so much smoother.

It's a tiny detail, but since the front desk staff must deal with this exact conversation dozens of times a day, hopefully, they'll tweak the form soon!

For reservations, you can easily book in English via KakaoTalk or Zalo, or simply give them a call. I highly recommend booking in advance. They are incredibly popular, and walking in without an appointment is risky. I tried doing a walk-in at another highly-rated spa on a whim earlier in the trip and got turned away because they were fully booked.

After your session, they serve a post-massage survey alongside a cup of chilled passion fruit tea. This tea was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to rehydrate!

One thing that really impressed me about their professionalism: the therapists show you a clock right before they start and again immediately when they finish. The final survey even asks you to confirm if they verified the time with you. They take their session lengths very seriously!

On the survey question, "How did you find out about us?" I wanted to check "Just stumbled upon it while wandering around," but since that wasn't an option, I couldn't! But hey, sometimes the best travel discoveries are the unplanned ones.

I will absolutely return to Onsi Spa on my next trip to Nha Trang. It truly is one of the best, most professional massage experiences I've had in Vietnam.
