The quest for a great pub or bar continues, even in Bangkok! This spot isn't a new discovery for me; it's a place I've known for a while.
However, if my memory serves me right, this place and the rooftop bar directly above it used to be part of the same establishment. But on my recent visit, they've clearly separated.
Before, you could choose to stay downstairs for a cool, air-conditioned vibe or head upstairs for that classic rooftop ambiance, even if it meant a bit more heat. Now, they operate as two completely distinct venues.

First off, the atmosphere here is genuinely fantastic. They've blended vintage elements with thoughtful lighting really well. It's definitely a spot worth adding to your Bangkok itinerary.

There's even a stage for performances. I didn't get a chance to ask if it's for live bands or if guests are welcome to hop up and sing...
I was a bit frantic at the time because my phone battery died, and I'd forgotten my portable charger!
I had to ask the staff to charge it, snap some photos, then re-charge, and repeat. It was quite a whirlwind, honestly.
Comparing it to my last Thailand trip four years ago (around 2022), you can tell they've put a lot more effort into the place.

The top images are from four years ago, and the bottom ones are from my recent visit in 2026. Looking back, I can't believe how desolate it looked before!

I ordered a light beer and some fries. As I was enjoying my drink and snack, a performance suddenly began.

It was a customer! They sang with such soul. I was a bit hesitant about taking photos, wondering if it was appropriate.
But the next person who got up to sing was incredibly encouraging when I took a picture, so I decided to capture the moment.

Inside, there's even a pool table. It seems like there's no separate fee to use it; you can just play.
Overall, it wasn't overly crowded. Perhaps a bit busier than my very first visit, when it was completely empty!

The location is closer to Ari Station, not Asok (though it's still a bit of a distance). It would be a great spot to visit at the end of your day during your Thailand trip, right before heading back to your accommodation. I actually stayed at a hotel right next door the night before, but somehow ended up visiting after moving to a different hotel. Go figure!

While English isn't widely spoken here, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Knowing some local Thai phrases would definitely enhance any Bangkok trip, but the written language itself is a huge barrier for me.
These are the chargers for the table lights (the counter had several plugged in simultaneously). The staff actually unplugged them all and brought one over for me to use for my phone. Such a kind gesture!
It wasn't a phone charger, so it could only maintain my battery level, not actually charge it beyond 1%... haha. So, I kept going to the bar to quickly plug in, snap photos, then put it back. Eventually, they just brought the whole thing to my table!
Thanks to them, I was able to take more photos comfortably.

The prices are as follows: a beer is 180 THB (~$5), and the fries are 120 THB (~$3). Looking at it now, it's not exactly cheap!
Still, it's a great spot to enjoy a beer and wind down after a day of exploring, making it a worthwhile stop on your Thailand adventure.
