With so many amazing places to visit in Tokyo, and the distances between them often longer than you'd expect, finding the perfect place to stay can be a real head-scratcher, right?
I find myself pondering the same dilemma every time, but considering travel convenience, I always end up booking accommodation in Shinjuku.
Today, I'm thrilled to introduce you to the Nishitetsu Inn, a hotel with an excellent location right in front of Shinjuku Station, offering affordable prices and pristine interiors!

Nishitetsu Inn Shinjuku is a fantastic choice because you can walk to all major Shinjuku stations within 10 minutes, providing incredible convenience for getting around and accessing suburban areas.
Furthermore, the hotel's rooms primarily consist of single and double rooms, making it ideal for solo travelers or couples.
To elaborate on the hotel's advantages using the map, you can clearly see how Nishitetsu Inn Shinjuku is surrounded by various stations.
Moreover, since all these stations are in bustling areas, there's plenty of foot traffic even late at night, and you'll find a concentration of izakayas and great restaurants.
For solo travelers in particular, safety might be a concern.
However, this hotel is located directly opposite Kabukicho, an area sometimes perceived as less safe in Tokyo, and it's right on a main street. This means you can consider its location extremely safe.
While it boasts many advantages, its affordable price point is undoubtedly a major draw.
After comparing several hotel booking agencies, I've compiled a table featuring the two most affordable options I found.

How to Check In
Next, I'll share my experience using the hotel.
Check-in was done self-service style using a machine at the lobby counter.
Since you can set the language to Korean, it was very easy to complete. And if you encounter any difficulties, the staff are always kind and ready to assist, so check-in will be a breeze.
Here, you'll receive two room card keys.
Another great advantage of the hotel is that you can freely take amenities from the lobby.
It was super convenient; you could just grab more if you needed it without any hesitation.
Just a heads-up, single-use toiletries like cleansing oil aren't provided, so it's a good idea to pack your own.
After checking in and grabbing all the amenities, I headed up to my room floor.
The lobby was beautifully lit, and its fresh white wood tones really gave off that classic hotel vibe.
My Single Room Experience (Solo Traveler)
I stayed in a single room by myself.
The layout was quite practical: the bathroom was to the right of the room entrance, and the bedroom was located further inside.
The room's interior was consistently bright white with wooden accents, creating a wonderfully modern ambiance.
Even though it was a single room, the bed was a comfortable double size, easily spacious enough for two people.
Plus, the mattress was so plush that lying down felt like all my travel fatigue just melted away.
Beyond the bed, you'll find a selection of appliances and furniture.
There's a cozy, compact table and sofa, with a TV right across from it – absolutely perfect for enjoying some late-night snacks and a beer after a day of exploring!
Additionally, essential appliances like a refrigerator, air purifier, and electric kettle were all readily available.
While there was a window, it didn't open very wide.
The view was of the building across the main street, but honestly, it didn't feel obstructed at all – quite open, actually!
For other amenities, you'll find a deodorizer spray, hangers, and slippers.
Just a tip: they're all neatly tucked away in the small space to the right of the room entrance.
Moving on to the bathroom, it featured a compact design with the shower, sink, and toilet all efficiently arranged in one space – quite typical for a Japanese business hotel.
While not overly spacious, it was incredibly compact and had everything you needed, so I never felt inconvenienced.
The real bonus was having a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak every evening – definitely a highlight after a day out!
As for bathroom amenities, you're all set with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, and even a hairdryer.
No need to pack those from home!
Beyond the rooms, the hotel offers some fantastic convenience facilities in its multi-purpose rooms.
On select floors, you'll even find showers, dryers, microwaves, wooden chopsticks, and a water dispenser – how handy is that!
And finally, you can also store your luggage both before and after check-in!
There are dedicated lockers for guests right by the hotel entrance,
so you can safely store your bags all by yourself.
It was super convenient because I didn't have to talk to staff
when dropping off or picking up my luggage.

but it also boasts the major advantage of being incredibly affordable.
What's more, the entire hotel interior was spotless,
and since it's located right on a main street, the security is excellent.
