1. Essential Information about Nha Trang's Chum Show

The Chum Show (sometimes also called 'Cham Show') is a performance that beautifully showcases the culture of the Cham people, the Central Highlands ethnic minorities, and the Kinh people, all brought to life through stunning displays of water, light, music, and aerial performances.

The DO Theatre is nestled within the Vega City complex at Bai Tien Beach, home to Riviera Nha Trang, and the Chum Show debuted in August 2025.
If you're staying at one of the resorts in the northern part of Nha Trang, like Alibu, Boma, or Amiana, you're in luck! The theatre is conveniently close, making it easy to integrate into your itinerary.
From Nha Trang city center, it's about a 20-minute drive, while from Cam Ranh, it takes roughly 60 minutes.
Please note that travel times can vary depending on traffic conditions.

2. Chum Show Booking Tips & Platform Price Comparison

Booking your Chum Show tickets is simple – you just need to select three things: the date, seat class, and number of people.
Seating is divided into three tiers: the most expensive Dragon Class, the mid-priced Tiger Class, and the most affordable Zodiac Class.
Children and seniors (aged 60 and above) usually pay around 70% of the adult fare.

I opted for the Tiger Class, and I was assigned seats towards the front of the stage.
(Please note: you cannot choose specific seats)
Let's compare prices for an adult Tiger Class ticket across three different platforms!

I personally booked through Klook because it offered instant confirmation and had the most reviews.

If you're looking for the absolute best price, KKday is the way to go.
However, keep in mind that KKday typically confirms bookings about one day after your order, so you'll need to book in advance.
3. My Chum Show Experience

The theatre is located on the 2nd floor, so head upstairs when you arrive.
Even 30 minutes before the show, guests were already exploring the area and taking photos.

At the information desk, simply present your booking voucher (e-ticket) to the staff, and they'll exchange it for an entry QR code.

Then, just show that QR code to the staff at the theatre entrance, and you're all set to go in!

You can also grab some popcorn and drinks here!
Popcorn is 65,000 VND (about ~$3),
bottled water is 15,000 VND (about ~$1), and
combos start from 75,000 VND.

Right on the first floor below the performance hall, there's also a souvenir shop
displaying items like t-shirts and eco-bags.
There's a restroom right next to it, so keep that in mind!

Many audience members were from Russia, and
tourists from various other countries were also present.
Even though it was the off-season when I visited, by the end of the show,
about 70% of the seats were occupied.
If your travel dates are set, it's always more convenient and reassuring
to book your tickets in advance.

The Tiger seats are a mid-range price, more affordable than the Dragon seats, and they were just right.
I was lucky enough to get a front-center seat!
Honestly, the performance hall isn't incredibly massive,
so I believe any seat would offer a great view.
⭐ Photography and videography are strictly
prohibited during the performance ❌

Let me share my impressions of the show!
What truly captivated me were the acrobatics,
underwater performances, and the stunning high-flying action.
The dreamy, unfamiliar music,
combined with the unique Southeast Asian ambiance,
made me feel incredibly relaxed throughout the entire performance.

It was a powerful and impactful performance, despite its brevity.
It felt like a sophisticated and modern interpretation of traditional Vietnamese culture,
and with musical elements blended in,
it was truly enjoyable for all ages.

Even without understanding Vietnamese, there were absolutely
no issues at all enjoying the performance.
I felt that about 60% of the show was driven by the music,
and I loved that it didn't feel like mere acting. It flowed so naturally!
I even thought it would be wonderful to experience this with my parents.

After the show concludes, there's a curtain call period
where you have a chance to greet the performers.
While 60 minutes might seem brief,
for me, it was a perfectly fulfilling and rich experience,
and I quickly grew fond of the performers!

Immediately after, a photo opportunity begins.
The performers stand at the front of the stage, and the audience
can go up to take photos with them.
Since photography isn't allowed during the performance,
this is your perfect chance to capture memories with the performers.

During the photo session, the performance has already ended,
so you're free to leave whenever you wish.
I had a truly enjoyable time from start to finish!
Additionally, at the same provincial theater,
they also host a Life Puppet Show (a puppet play) at 6 PM.
I had seen it before, so this time I chose the Cham Show.
If you're curious, you can check it out below.

4. Concluding the Journey Log
If you're looking for something different to experience beyond the beaches,
the Cham Show was definitely a performance worth seeing at least once.
Even without understanding the language,
there were no issues with enjoying the show, and the underwater performances
and high-flying action were particularly impressive.
Whether you're traveling with your parents or as a couple,
I highly recommend the Cham Show as a must-see attraction in Nha Trang.
