It turns out, Nha Trang pharmacies are actually hidden shopping hotspots!
I checked one out during my trip this year,
and the range of souvenirs, from skincare ointments to unique toothpaste,
was absolutely incredible.
So, what exactly should you buy at a Nha Trang pharmacy?

As you wander around Nha Trang, you'll spot plenty of pharmacies.
The one I visited this time
is conveniently located right in the city center.
While many tourists flock to DS Pharmacy,
I opted for a highly-rated, clean, and budget-friendly spot nearby called
An Tam Pharmacy.

When you visit, you'll immediately notice
that because they get so many international tourists,
they've translated all the product labels into English and other languages.
It made shopping incredibly easy.

There are three main ways to pay here.
Credit Card / Cash / Mobile QR (like GLN)
Many Asian travelers use regional QR payment systems (like GLN) which link directly to their bank accounts.
For Western travelers, using a travel credit card with no foreign transaction fees
is the best way to go.
You don't need to carry massive wads of cash,
and you can completely avoid hefty ATM fees!
Having a smart payment strategy is essential for your 2026 Vietnam trip!
An Tam Pharmacy gladly accepts credit cards, which is a huge plus.

67,000 VND (~$3)
This is a lifesaver ointment for diaper rash and skin irritation.
In the US, this usually goes for around ~$7,
but in Vietnam, you can grab it for less than half the price.
It's famous for its skin regeneration properties,
making it an absolute must-buy item on your Nha Trang shopping list.
I bought a tube for myself,
and when I applied it to a heat rash on my neck and back,
it cleared up almost instantly.
130,000 VND (~$5)
This is a highly sought-after steroid-free burn ointment.
It's a staple in French households,
and you can find it here for significantly less than back home.
Under the intense Nha Trang sun,
having this on hand for unexpected sunburns gives you major peace of mind.
It's also a fantastic kitchen staple for home cooks
who occasionally deal with minor cooking burns.
310,000 VND (~$12)
The ultimate scar treatment gel, Dermatix!
While it's not the cheapest item on the list, it's incredibly effective for fading scars, making it a premium favorite among savvy shoppers.
72,000 VND (~$3)
This is arguably the trendiest Nha Trang souvenir right now.
Since it's by Colgate, you know the quality is solid.
But honestly, people buy it purely for the aesthetic.
The toothpaste itself is packed with tiny, dissolvable red hearts!
Ironically, I couldn't even find this at the massive Lotte Mart in town...!
It's incredibly hard to find in Western supermarkets!
(People actually resell these online for a premium back home).
60,000 VND (~$2)
Sensodyne needs no introduction.
If you have sensitive teeth, buying it in Vietnam is a total steal, making it a practical must-buy.
I definitely stocked up on a few tubes.
Just a heads-up: You can also easily find Sensodyne at Lotte Mart.
From 20,000 VND (~$1)
If you're traveling anywhere in Southeast Asia, bug spray is non-negotiable.
Soffell is arguably the most famous local brand.
The formula is gentle enough that it's safe to use on children.
42,000 VND (~$2)
This is the runner-up to Soffell in popularity!
I bought this previously in Da Nang and loved it,
so I made sure to grab another bottle here in Nha Trang.
Just like Soffell, Remos is formulated with
mild ingredients, making it totally kid-friendly.
290,000 VND (~$12)
You might recognize these from Japanese drugstores like Don Quijote.
The best part? They are often cheaper here in Vietnam than in Japan!
These pain-relieving patches are perfect for sore muscles after a long day of exploring.
From 36,000 VND (~$1)
They are incredibly cheap here, and the flavor variety is amazing.
You'll find Orange, Honey Lemon, Mint, and more.
It's always smart to have a pack on hand at the first sign of a sore throat.
35,000 VND (~$1)
Artichoke is highly praised for liver detox and hangover relief.
While I skipped it this time, the plant itself is packed with health benefits.
It's actually a famous specialty from the nearby city of Da Lat, making it a great gift!
So, there you have my ultimate Nha Trang shopping list.
Is this your first time considering a pharmacy for souvenirs?
I honestly prefer it because they offer a wider variety than Lotte Mart,
and the environment is much cleaner than the bustling Dam Market.
The spot I visited was An Tam Pharmacy, right near the famous Moc Seafood Restaurant. They accept both cards and cash.

Credit cards, cash, and GLN payments are all accepted. If you use GLN, the money is directly converted from your Korean bank account and transferred to a Vietnamese bank, allowing you to pay conveniently without any fees.
Bepanthen ointment is sold for 67,000 VND at pharmacies in Nha Trang. This is about a third of the price in Korea, which is ~$7, making it a very cheap purchase.
Colgate Heart toothpaste is not sold at Lotte Mart in Nha Trang, so you have to buy it at a pharmacy. It is sold for 72,000 VND at An Tam Pharmacy and is a product that is hard to find in Korea.
Mild mosquito repellents that children can also use include Soffell and Remos. Soffell starts at 20,000 VND, and Remos can be purchased for 42,000 VND.
