I returned home a few days ago
after finishing our 5-night, 6-day trip to Vietnam
from February 20th to 26th.
Although this was my second visit to Vietnam,
it proved to be a place where you really can't let your guard down.

on their packing list for Nha Trang, right?
After this trip to Nha Trang,
I realized a shower filter isn't an option, it's essential!
Especially if you're staying at a resort in Cam Ranh!
This trip, I stayed 3 nights in Nha Trang city accommodation,
and 2 nights at a resort in the Cam Ranh area.
Surprisingly, the shower filter used for just half a day in Cam Ranh
was in a more terrible state
than the one used for 3 nights in the city.
I was truly shocked to see it visibly turn brown.
Even though it was a brand new resort
that opened less than a year ago, the water quality was like this,
so when packing for your trip to Nha Trang, Vietnam,
make sure to bring plenty of shower filters.
We packed the ones we received as gifts previously,
and also bought some from Daiso for my parents-in-law.
I don't think the brand really matters.
Hygiene in Vietnam is generally not as good as in Korea,
making it easy to experience traveler's diarrhea or high fever.
Every time my family and I have traveled to Vietnam,
at least one person has gotten sick and struggled.
However, on this free and easy trip to Nha Trang,
the essential medications we packed as part of our preparations were incredibly helpful.
Here's how I packed my essential medications:
Also, to prepare for traveler's diarrhea and general upset stomach,
for energy recovery, I packed Pocari Sweat powder and
Lingtea powder.
Lingtea was more convenient as it comes in single-serving packets.
And to protect against UV rays,
it's also a good idea to bring waterproof sunscreen, a hat,
and soothing gel.
This trip,
we didn't bring soothing gel,
and after swimming, my arms and legs got very sunburned.
So I definitely thought, "Next time, I *must* pack soothing gel."
In crowded places like Nha Trang city center or night markets,
you need to be wary of pickpockets.
Especially when you're taking photos
and frequently pulling out your phone,
Having an anti-theft neck pouch in situations like these
can help prevent you from becoming a target.
You can wear it over your shoulder like a cross-body bag,
or around your neck,
which made it super convenient to use while traveling.
The moment you think, 'Surely not me?' – that's often when things go wrong!
Losing important items can seriously derail your entire trip,
so remember to add safety essentials
to your Nha Trang packing checklist.
If you're going on a hopping tour in Nha Trang,
it's a great idea to pack **aqua shoes** to protect your feet,
along with a **swimsuit and a waterproof phone pouch** in advance.
If you're visiting the mud baths,
bring a swimsuit you don't mind getting messy
or a dark-colored one.
Because if the mud stains it, it's hard to get out even after washing.
Imagine suddenly feeling sick or getting lost in Nha Trang,
