💡 Vietnam ATM Withdrawal Fee Tip
Many international travel cards (like those with UnionPay) allow fee-free withdrawals at BIDV ATMs. It's a handy tip for anyone visiting Nha Trang!
After getting some cash, the sun was blazing and the humidity was thick, so we quickly ducked into the nearest cafe we saw.
Blissfully Cool! A Refreshing and Spotless Interior

This clean cafe offered a welcome escape from the heat and city fumes. The interior was incredibly cool and immaculately maintained. The spacious layout was perfect for bringing in a stroller, and the comfortable chairs made it an ideal spot for families with babies.

I was fascinated by this small altar I saw for the first time here and took a picture. Afterward, I noticed them frequently in shops throughout Nha Trang.
Curious, I looked it up and discovered they are altars dedicated to the God of the Land and the God of Wealth. It was intriguing to learn about this unique Vietnamese cultural practice, similar to how some cultures have good luck charms to wish for prosperity.
Drinks and Diverse Brunch Menu
(with English Menu)

Although we only stopped for drinks to beat the heat, this is a brunch cafe with a wide variety of menu options. Having an English menu with pictures made ordering incredibly convenient.
We ordered two of Moka Cafe's four special Vietnamese coffees, along with a Bạc xỉu that I had been wanting to try.
Cà phê dừa (Coconut Coffee)
Cà phê muối (Salt Coffee)
Bạc xỉu (Vietnamese Condensed Milk Latte)

Cà phê dừa (Coconut Coffee)
This coconut coffee was different from those I'd tried at famous spots like Cong Cafe or CCCP in Nha Trang. It had a milder, smoother coconut flavor and felt more like a light beverage than a thick slushie.

Cà phê muối (Salt Coffee)
Since first trying salt coffee at 85°C in Qingdao (not Taiwan!), I always order it if I see it on a menu. It was interesting to experience such a different take here. Being Vietnamese coffee, it was much richer, and the cream on top was impressively thick.

Bạc xỉu (Vietnamese Condensed Milk Latte)
If the strong Vietnamese coffee is a bit too much for you, I highly recommend the Bạc xỉu for a sweet and cold treat. After trying it here, I found myself ordering it at other cafes too. It was my absolute favorite!

I also appreciated that they served water in a glass. They initially forgot, but then quickly brought it over after the drinks!
The total for these three drinks was 123,000 VND, which is approximately ~$5. What an incredible deal for three high-quality coffees in an air-conditioned cafe! It truly makes traveling in Vietnam even more enjoyable.

⚠️ Important Note on Card Payments
Be aware that this cafe charges an additional 3% fee for card payments. After visiting various restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops in Nha Trang, I noticed that many places add a surcharge for card transactions.
While many travel cards offer fee-free international transactions, it's still a good idea to carry a reasonable amount of cash with you during your trip.
If you're looking for a cool, air-conditioned cafe with a great ambiance in Nha Trang city, Moka Restaurant Cafe is definitely worth a visit!
