Wondering about Nha Trang travel costs for a big family? Learn how we kept our 4-night, 6-day trip under budget with smart planning and pre-payment strategies!

As I was preparing for our Nha Trang trip,
especially with a large family or group,
managing travel expenses is often the biggest headache, isn't it?
Last Lunar New Year holiday,
when I was planning a trip for our extended family of 13,
from flights to local food costs,
I spent a lot of time wondering how to set the budget per person
even before we left.
After experiencing it firsthand,
I realized that a 4-night, 6-day trip to Nha Trang is totally doable
for around ~$738 per person,
including flights, accommodation, meals, and even massages!
Thanks to booking our accommodation early and getting a great deal,
I think we were able to significantly reduce the overall budget.
The two accommodations we actually booked are listed below:

Havana Nha Trang Hotel Review & Special Offers, Nha Trang 2026 | Trip.com3ha.in
When I first started planning our Nha Trang trip,
I wondered if it was really possible to keep the budget around ~$690,
but after going there, I found it to be a surprisingly budget-friendly journey.
Especially for large family trips,
how you manage travel expenses is incredibly important.
So, the method we chose was to
pre-pay as much as possible before leaving!
After trying it ourselves, this method
made things much more comfortable from the perspective of the trip organizer (me!),
and it was great for managing the itinerary and actual expenses.

As of February 2026,
our family's shared travel expenses for Nha Trang amounted to
around ~$738 per person.
Nha Trang 4-Night, 6-Day Trip Expenses (Per Person)
Flights: ~$324
Accommodation: ~$186
Tours: ~$69
Massages: ~$69
Food: ~$62
Total: ~$738
With flight, accommodation, meals, and massage costs
all included in this amount,
it was a very satisfying value for money trip.

For flights,
we booked them in advance in October 2025.
It was around ~$324 per person,
but the sad truth is that the prices dropped even further later on... haha.
Nha Trang flight prices vary wildly depending on the season,
so I recommend keeping an eye on price trends before booking.

For this Nha Trang trip,
we booked a combination of a city hotel and a resort for our accommodation.
Just like flights, our accommodation
was booked in advance in October 2025.
It seems that booking your accommodation early
is key to getting better prices.

Beyond flights and accommodation,
we also pre-booked other things that could be arranged from our home country
before our Nha Trang trip.
After comparing a few travel platforms,
I found that booking in advance through Naver
offered transparent pricing and was really convenient.
Plus, thanks to Naver Plus Membership,
I was able to earn a good amount of Pay Points as well.

Private Car Rental in Nha Trang
We booked our airport pickup and
a private bus for city tours
in advance from Korea.
As for the private bus,
renting a 16-seater for 6 hours costs around ~$41.
Especially when you have a large group like ours,
it's highly recommended to book a private bus in advance.
When we went on a family trip to Da Nang before,
we had to catch multiple Grabs locally to get around,
and it was quite challenging due to too many variables during transit.
Building on that experience,
for this Nha Trang trip,
we booked a private bus,
and it truly felt like the best decision ever!

Nha Trang Hopping Tour
We also pre-paid for the Pirate Hopping Tour,
which costs around ~$62 per adult.

Nha Trang Pirate Hopping Tour (Korean Guide, Speedboat, Snorkeling, Party Hopping)
I'll write a detailed review later, but
from our nieces and nephews in their teens and twenties to our parents in their seventies,
everyone had a fantastic time eating, drinking, and playing.
Highly, highly recommended!!
By the way, my husband had previously experienced other
Nha Trang hopping tours,
and he said the Pirate Hopping Tour was much more fun.

We received a 90-minute 'Emperor's Massage'
twice, costing around ~$28 per person each time.
Since we pre-paid in Korean Won from Korea,
we didn't need to take out any cash
when we were actually in Nha Trang, which was super convenient.

In our Nha Trang travel budget,
the most flexible item was food expenses.
We visited famous Nha Trang restaurants like Sseummoi Garden and Chao Mao,
and also stopped by Jangteo Gukbap, a Korean restaurant,
so our food spending was quite high for a trip to Vietnam.
If you plan to visit local eateries as well,
your food budget could be
smaller than ours.
Regarding price and value for money,
there are a few memorable restaurants I'd like to share.

Lai Seafood in Nha Trang city center
had relatively ordinary seafood dishes, but
the beer was incredibly cheap at 9,000 VND per bottle,
making it perfect for families like ours who enjoy a drink.
However, the food at Amiana Cam Ranh Resort's
poolside bar
was really, really poor value for money.
The prices were quite high, but the taste was honestly terrible.
I'd actually recommend just grabbing cup noodles from a convenience store instead.

There's just one thing I really realized from this trip:
The larger the family group,
the better it is to pre-pay as much as possible before departure!
This reduces the burden of managing cash, lowering stress for the 'treasurer' of the trip,
and since we booked everything in advance from Korea before arriving,
it was also convenient for managing the travel itinerary.

Considering everything from flights and accommodation to massages and tours,
this trip truly offered incredible value for money.

Happy planning for your amazing Nha Trang adventure!
For a large family of 13, the total cost per person, including airfare, accommodation, meals, massages, and tour expenses, was approximately ~$738. It was noted that booking accommodation early helped lower the overall budget.
We stayed for 3 nights at Havana Nha Trang Hotel and 2 nights at Amiana Cam Ranh Resort. Like the airfare, bookings were completed in advance in October 2025.
For large families of 10 or more people, we recommend booking a private bus in advance from Korea. Renting a 16-seater bus for 6 hours cost in the ~$41 range, which was more convenient than hailing multiple Grab cars locally.
Lai Seafood, located in Nha Trang city center, offered very cheap beer at 9,000 VND per bottle. On the other hand, the food at Amiana Cam Ranh Resort's poolside bar was expensive and tasteless, offering very poor value for money.
