Nha Trang Family Trip Itinerary

Coastal destinations always seem to offer an endless array of exciting activities, don't they? Having visited Nha Trang multiple times, I was looking for something a little different this trip. That's when I discovered a fantastic Nha Trang cruise that promised stunning sunsets and a delightful onboard dinner. It was an experience I absolutely had to try!

Pickup and Boarding

If you're staying in Nha Trang city center, a convenient pickup service will come directly to you. For those staying at resorts further out in the Cam Ranh area, pickup is usually still possible, though it might involve an additional charge.

After a comfortable ride to the pier, your beautiful cruise ship will be waiting. As soon as you step aboard, your evening adventure begins!

You're welcomed with refreshing hand towels and a charming welcome performance featuring traditional music – a lovely touch!

Once aboard, grab a refreshing watermelon juice. You can settle into a seat on the lower deck to admire the views or head straight up to the top deck.

Since we'd be returning to the lower deck for dinner later, we decided to make our way to the upper deck first.

Ah, that explains it! I wondered why it seemed so quiet downstairs; turns out, everyone was already enjoying the top deck!

Opening Ceremony and Finger Foods

Beyond the scheduled live performances, the crew members perform a lively opening dance. They had this wonderfully serious, almost 'who made us do this?' expression, but their enthusiastic, if slightly unpolished, moves were incredibly charming and truly adorable!

After the performance, everyone grabbed their cameras! With many families on board, you'll see people striking poses and snapping photos all around the deck.

What could possibly get everyone to pause their photo sessions?

Food, of course! These are just light snacks, meant to tide you over before the main dinner. Don't overdo it!

Sunset and Scenery

Witnessing a truly spectacular sunset often depends on the weather. While you might not always catch a dramatic burst of color, you are guaranteed to experience the breathtaking beauty of dusk settling over the ocean.

You can soak it all in with your own eyes...

Or capture it beautifully in photos.

You can even capture it in a wine glass... (or maybe that's just me!)

As darkness falls, the atmosphere becomes truly enchanting. In the distance, you can spot the lights of Vinpearl. Despite several trips to Nha Trang, I still haven't had the chance to visit Vinpearl yet!

Dinner Service

As time passes, it's finally dinner time! This is the main event, where you get to choose your entrée: lobster, steak, or salmon. The picture above is actually what someone else ordered; as a true carnivore, I opted for the steak, of course!

After enjoying mostly Vietnamese cuisine during my independent trip to Nha Trang, experiencing this course meal was a delightful change of pace and a truly unique dining experience!

Live Entertainment

The live music begins when the finger foods are served and continues throughout the evening. While not non-stop, the performances are regularly scheduled to keep the atmosphere lively and engaging.

Even after dinner, when you head back up to the deck, the musicians are still playing. This is perfect for a Nha Trang family trip, especially if you're traveling with parents, as they often play popular oldies that everyone loves!

As you take in more of Nha Trang's dazzling night views and savor the relaxed ambiance, you'll soon find yourselves back at the pier.

After disembarking, you'll be driven back to your accommodation, bringing this wonderful tour to a close.

The cruise typically ends around 9:00 PM, so you can expect to be back at your hotel by approximately 9:30 PM (though times may vary slightly).

While it's not an adrenaline-pumping activity, this cruise tour offers a wonderfully relaxed and leisurely experience. It's truly a recommended Nha Trang itinerary, especially for families, and a fantastic option when traveling with parents!
