Oh, I had no idea Vietnam also offered snorkeling activities! I guess I didn't know because I've only traveled inland and never near the coast. Decided to give it a try, lol.
Since I'd recently done it through a local company in the Philippines, for this Nha Trang island hopping tour, I booked with a Korean travel agency.
On the day of the Nha Trang island hopping tour, I diligently packed my essentials into a basket from the hotel and waited for the pickup.
After arriving with all my carefully packed items, a staff member told me that towels and all equipment would be provided, so I didn't need to bring anything, lol!
They usually provide the equipment, but I had no idea they'd provide towels too...
From the harbor, we took a speed boat and transferred to the Crazy Party Hopping vessel.
They were performing a welcome dance on the boat, but it was so unexpected that I started filming too late, lol!
Upon boarding the boat amidst such a passionate welcome, mangoes, watermelon, champagne, and unlimited beer were waiting for us. Later, warm pizza was also served.
The staff who would be joining us for the Nha Trang island hopping tour made their entrance, dancing their way in, lol!
I filmed it all, but blurring the faces of those in the background would be too difficult, so I'll pass on sharing it....
After that, they gave an explanation of the equipment, and even though I've done this quite a few times, it felt like the first time I'd heard such a detailed explanation! They meticulously covered everything, from breathing techniques to how to prevent fogging.
Once the staff's entrance, performance, and explanation were over, it was immediately
"Now, go play!"
It was free time.
You could play in the water, or fish from the vessel. You could even just relax in your spot, eating mangoes and drinking beer.
Quite literally, you could just play freely. Flamingo tubes, paddle boats, and flippers were also provided. (The life jackets were also a new, modern type I hadn't seen before!)
I went into the sea to play, wandered around taking photos, and was quite busy eating in between, lol!
But even with all that, there was still plenty of time. There was no need to rush.
Next up was diving time.
You jump from there, and it's surprisingly high! Of course, it's only for those who want to, and staff members are waiting in the water below.
Next was immediate seafood ramyeon.
I definitely noticed the difference, lol! But I don't think this is a difference between local companies and Korean travel agencies; it seems to be a unique selling point of *this specific* Nha Trang island hopping tour. Because when I did a Malumpati tour in Boracay with a Korean travel agency, it was just about close attention and abundant food. But this one, seriously, lol, there's absolutely no downtime. No chance to get bored. There are continuous performances and programs, and plenty to eat. It's perfectly scheduled so there's never a dull moment.
Even after this, there were performances and... interactive parties... I'll skip those details, as spoiling them would take away the fun, lol! It's definitely *not* because blurring the videos is too difficult.
The name "Crazy" was probably given because of this party, hahahaha!
After enjoying ourselves to the fullest, we moved to the second snorkeling spot. The place we went is usually off-limits for tourism due to environmental protection, but apparently, *this* Nha Trang island hopping tour is the only one that has special access.
They kept talking about it, but honestly, my focus was elsewhere. The water was unbelievably clear, and the emerald glow of the sea combined with the stunning scenery... it was simply spectacular.
And maybe that's why there were so many fish! That's the real magic, isn't it?
Then it was time for another incredible snorkeling session! I found myself constantly chasing after every new, colorful fish that appeared, all while grappling with my... shall we say, 'developing' swimming skills, haha!
After all that excitement, it was time for lunch. It was fantastic to have shower facilities available, so I could wash off and feel completely refreshed before digging into our meal.
Following lunch, we had some free time. You could opt for a mud spa on a nearby island, try out sea walking, parasailing, or even give scuba diving a go!
I honestly intended to relax for a bit after all that excitement. But what started as just 'taking a peek' at the other activities somehow led to me finding myself geared up and already in the water, haha!
Following our amazing guide, we were led into this incredible underwater world, teeming with vibrant corals and countless fish, all bathed in that stunning emerald glow.
Wow... The scenery you glimpse while floating on the surface is one thing, but immersing yourself completely underwater and witnessing that view firsthand? It's an entirely different dimension of beauty!
The corals themselves, and even the way the sunlight danced and shimmered on the surface above – it all added an extra layer of pure magic and wonder.
Our guide was also super diligent, snapping plenty of amazing photos for us!
While it's totally fine to just relax, having experienced it myself, I'd say there's ample time before departure, so diving into another activity is definitely a great idea! It seems the Nha Trang Hopping Tour doesn't directly provide these additional activities, but they expertly connect you with local operators.
Of course, the island itself feels like a perfect resort getaway, so after lunch, you're more than welcome to simply lounge on a beach bed and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.
Here's one curious thing I couldn't quite figure out: even though I was using seemingly similar breathing equipment, during snorkeling, water kept finding its way into my nose. But when I tried scuba diving, it was perfectly smooth sailing without any of those issues!
Why was that, I wonder? Haha! Perhaps it was the reassuring sense of security that came with having a friendly guide right beside me.
If I ever reach a level where I can freely explore underwater on my own... now *that* would be truly amazing! I definitely want to try it again.
But first, I suppose I really need to learn how to swim properly...
On a slightly different note, it seems beachwear trends have quietly evolved! It's moved away from rash guards to wearing tights underneath, paired with shorts and a short-sleeved top. Meanwhile, I, ever the trend-avoider, was still rocking my lone rash guard... It's not a crucial detail, but perhaps a helpful tip for those of you who like to stay ahead of the style curve!
All in all, it was a truly fun and 'Crazy' Nha Trang Hopping Tour!
