Nha Trang City's Must-Try Restaurants
An Thoi Branch 1: My Review of the Waiting Time and Menu

I asked a friend who's practically a 'Nha Trang regular' (they keep going back!)
for restaurant recommendations as I was visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam for the first time this year,
and they insisted I visit An Thoi, either Branch 1 or Branch 2.
They told me to go no matter what, and even go two or three times,
raving about how incredibly delicious it was.

And when I actually went,
every single dish we ordered was incredibly satisfying.
During this trip to Nha Trang, Vietnam,
it was the only place I visited both Branch 1 and Branch 2 –
that's how good An Thoi, a true gem among Nha Trang City's restaurants, is!

1. An Thoi Branch 1 Location
📍 An Thoi
03 Đ. Ng. Đức Kế, P, Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa 650000 Vietnam
An Thoi Branch 1, a fantastic restaurant in Nha Trang City,
is just a 5-minute walk from Regalia Gold Hotel (a downtown central hotel).
It's ideally located right in the heart of Nha Trang City.
If you've booked accommodation near Nha Trang City center
and planned your Nha Trang trip around the downtown area,
it's easily accessible from anywhere you might visit,
making it perfectly situated for your itinerary.
It's truly a must-visit among must-visit restaurants!

After visiting An Thoi Branch 1 for my very first meal on day one,
I knew it was the real deal, so I made sure to visit An Thoi Branch 2 for my last meal on the final day.
But the one that left a much deeper impression was, without a doubt,
An Thoi Branch 1.

An Thoi: A Constant Highlight on Nha Trang Must-Visit Lists
I heard that Branch 1 usually has longer waits than Branch 2,
but I went around 4 PM, avoiding peak meal times,
and there was just one table left,
so I didn't have to wait at Branch 1!
Ironically, I actually waited about 10 minutes at Branch 2, which is said to have shorter queues.
I think it was because I arrived right at dinner time there!
2. An Thoi Menu

When I asked my close friend what to order at An Thoi,
they said everything at An Thoi is delicious, no matter what you order,
and that's why they recommended An Thoi first
as a must-try restaurant in Nha Trang.

Many people visit An Thoi and frequently mention certain dishes in their reviews,
like Bun Cha, Pho, Banh Xeo, Morning Glory, and Garlic Prawns.
And seriously, every single dish was absolutely delicious.
Perhaps because An Thoi has become so famous
among Korean tourists as a top Nha Trang restaurant recommendation,
the seasoning of the food was perfectly suited to Korean palates.

An Toi Banh Xeo, Nem Lui, Garlic Butter Shrimp,
Cheese-covered Scallops, Bun Cha, and so much more...
An Toi boasts a truly extensive menu of popular dishes, but
the Offal Pho is especially phenomenal!
Even if they only sold this one dish,
I'd still recommend it as a must-visit restaurant in Nha Trang, seriously! 😉
3. Interior Space

An Toi's first branch in Nha Trang
was bustling with customers
even though I visited around 4 PM, which is an off-peak dining hour.
It was so full that there wasn't an empty seat in sight.
The interior space was incredibly spacious,
easily accommodating 50 people at once.
An Toi was the first restaurant I tried
as soon as I arrived in Nha Trang,
and I was even more satisfied because the restaurant's interior
was beautifully decorated with a distinct Vietnamese ambiance.
It truly made me feel like I was really in Vietnam! 😄

Before arriving in Nha Trang, I'd heard about An Toi countless times from my friends,
so I expected it to be packed mainly with Korean tourists.
But I was pleasantly surprised to see many Vietnamese locals dining there too!
The food itself is so good, it appeals to everyone,
which must be why people from all walks of life come to enjoy it!
4. Review

Later, at An Toi's second branch,
I also ordered Banh Xeo and Pineapple Fried Rice.
But for now, if I were to give an honest review of the dishes I tried at An Toi's first branch:
The Bun Cha, Offal Pho,
Morning Glory, Garlic Sauce Shrimp,
Mango Juice, and Tiger Draft Beer that we ordered were all
so incredibly delicious – a perfect 100 out of 100!

First off, in Korea, you often get a tiny portion of Bun Cha
and pay ~ $15 for it.
But at An Toi in Nha Trang,
I enjoyed Bun Cha for less than 150,000 VND,
which immediately put me in a great mood!
Getting such delicious Bun Cha for less than ~$7
was just fantastic.
My friends and I had so much fun dipping our food in the sauce and feeding each other,
enjoying a truly delicious meal together.

Before coming to Nha Trang, my friend had clearly recommended the Offal Pho,
and I ordered it without much thought, just thinking we should have one 'red dish' among our choices.
But An Toi's Offal Pho truly blew me away!

I thought, 'How good can it really be?!'
But it's different. So. Incredibly different!!!!
This Offal Pho kept lingering in my mind for days,
which is why I ended up going back to An Toi on my last day! 😂
They also gave a generous amount of offal.
It was spicy and incredibly refreshing!

The clean and crisp Morning Glory.
While it wasn't an incredibly unique taste,
whenever I go to Nha Trang, Vietnam,
I always find myself ordering Morning Glory wherever I go.
It's that dish you'd feel disappointed without!
And it was delicious!

If you visit An Thoi,
I highly recommend ordering the
beef tripe pho and garlic shrimp!
It might seem like a common garlic flavor,
but eating it with banh mi was
surprisingly unique and absolutely delightful! Haha.
Dipping crispy, savory banh mi
into that garlic sauce was truly the secret weapon! 😉

The mango juice was delicious, but
perhaps not as rich as I expected!
Still, it was yummy!
If you're wondering why everyone raves about An Thoi,
you'll definitely understand once you visit this
authentic Nha Trang gem!
Today was my review of Branch 1,
but I'll be back soon with a review
and comparison of Branch 2! =)
