Our 4-night, 6-day Bali itinerary where we hopped to a new hotel every single day!
Ngurah Rai Airport -> Gili-> Ubud-> AYANA (Jimbaran)-> Incheon (Seoul)
Honestly, we could have skipped Ubud in the middle,
but we found an Airbnb there that we completely fell in love with!
We just couldn't let it go, so despite our tight schedule,
we squeezed Ubud into our itinerary anyway... haha
Let me share my top Bali accommodation recommendations with you!
1. Gili Trawangan
Nero North

Located on the northern side of Gili Trawangan Island
It's surrounded by turtle points, so I highly recommend it if you want to swim with sea turtles!
(It gets quite dark and peaceful around here at night! haha)
Check-in: 2:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM
Breakfast: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Can also be enjoyed on the beach right in front of the hotel)
+ Complimentary afternoon tea from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (we didn't get a chance to try it, unfortunately)
+ Pool access allowed until 11:00 PM
*Since Gili is a motor-free island, the only way to get around is by walking or cycling.
If you let Nero North Hotel know in advance, they can help you rent bicycles from a nearby shop.
I pre-booked two bicycles via WhatsApp.
It still takes a bit of time for them to deliver the bikes, so I highly recommend confirming and booking them well in advance!
(Rental fee: 50k IDR (~$3) per person)

We booked it for about ~$90 per night (including breakfast).
The room was super clean,
and surprisingly, it didn't feel humid at all (including the bedding!).
The bathroom was also pristine, and you can easily replace the shower head filter.

Isn't it gorgeous? :)
If you want to spot some sea turtles in Gili,
and plan to just relax early at your accommodation after dinner,
then I highly recommend Nero North.
It's incredibly peaceful around the resort at night,
you can use the pool late into the evening,
and turtle points are located right nearby!
It has a completely different vibe compared to the harbor area.
The owner is Korean, and
all the staff members are incredibly friendly and kind :)

2. Ubud

This single photo made me change my accommodation at the very last minute—
this is our "Ubud Airbnb."
I was actually thinking of skipping Ubud on this trip,
but this Airbnb was so gorgeous that I squeezed Ubud into our tight schedule just to stay here.
The listing had a minimum stay of 2 nights,
but since our schedule was tight and I really, really wanted to stay here,
I messaged the host. Fortunately, they made an exception without disrupting other bookings
and let us book for just 1 night! 🥹👍🏻
I guess they could sense how desperately I wanted to visit, haha.
(A staff member will contact you via WhatsApp the day before check-in, and you can easily reach out to them via WhatsApp during your stay.)
The area seems to be filled with private villas. It's about a 10 to 15-minute drive from Ubud center,
so make sure you map the address carefully on Google Maps.
It's surrounded by peaceful rice terrace views, so it's incredibly quiet.
Yes, you can swap out the shower filter here!
Having double sinks was super convenient, but
the only downside is that the toilet, shower, and sink area are completely open-concept (separated by glass doors) haha.
So, privacy is a little hard to find... lol.
During the day, we went out to explore the town,
and then we'd come back in the early evening to hang out and swim.
Night swimming was absolutely incredible!
Plus, the stars in the night sky were so much clearer.
For dinner, we ordered Grab delivery to our villa.
We got Nasi Goreng and BBQ ribs,
and the ribs were so delicious and unbelievably cheap. You all seriously have to try them!
And of course, you can't skip a hot cup of ramen after swimming... haha.
If you plan on relaxing at your resort more than running around Ubud,
if you want a quiet, peaceful stay even if it's a bit far from the city center,
and if you aren't easily scared by bugs...
...then I highly recommend this place!
(Oh, but one quick tip! If you're a sensitive sleeper, you might struggle to get a good night's rest due to the frogs and bugs singing all night.
That was definitely me... I was the only one who couldn't sleep deeply... ㅠㅠ haha.)
I'm not scared of bugs at all, but I am super sensitive to noise when sleeping.
Since the area is surrounded by rice paddies, the symphony of bugs and frogs acts as a mandatory wake-up call. Definitely keep that in mind! lol
Still, the view is gorgeous enough to make up for those minor flaws ㅠㅠ It's so beautiful, especially at sunset! ㅎ
3. Jimbaran

The final accommodation of our Bali trip
is a resort incredibly popular with Korean honeymooners and families:
Rimba by AYANA Bali.
AYANA is famous for having so many fantastic amenities and facilities,
so I'll write a completely separate post just for that.
Today, I'll just give you a quick look at the room condition! lol
Check-in 3:00 PM
Check-out 12:00 PM
(Check-in is an hour later than most places, but check-out is also an hour later!)
Early check-in is possible upon request at the lobby, subject to availability.
Breakfast Included (6:30 AM ~ 10:30 AM)
Resort View (Garden View) / Twin Bed Room
(Booked in the ~$192 range, breakfast included)
You can easily swap in your own shower filter,
and the amenities are from Sensatia, known as the "Aesop of Bali" (though personally, I didn't quite get the hype ㅠ)
The room opens up beautifully to a terrace, giving it a wonderfully spacious feel.
There was no dampness or humidity at all, and above all, out of my entire Bali trip,
I think I got the absolute best night's sleep at AYANA haha

You can rent a bicycle through a nearby vendor by requesting it in advance at Nero North Hotel, and we recommend booking ahead via WhatsApp. The bicycle rental fee is 50k per person.
The nightly rate for a Deluxe Suite with a garden view is ~$90, which includes breakfast. Additionally, complimentary afternoon tea is served from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and the swimming pool is open until 11:00 PM.
The accommodation is about a 10 to 15-minute drive from the center of Ubud. It offers a great view as it is surrounded by rice fields, but those who are sensitive to noise should be aware that the sounds of frogs and insects can be loud at night.
While it is convenient to have two sinks in the accommodation, the toilet, shower, and sinks are all in an open-plan layout with glass doors. Please note that this may result in a lack of privacy.
