If Tokyo Station, Shibuya Station, or Shinjuku Station are your final stops, the Narita Express (N'EX) is super convenient as it takes you there directly, without any transfers!
The Skyliner is a great choice if you're headed towards Ueno or Nippori, and a limousine bus can be incredibly handy if there's a stop right outside your hotel's front door.

With a **one-way ticket**, your boarding date, destination, and even your seat are all designated when you make your purchase.
For a **round-trip ticket**, you'll first need to exchange your voucher for a physical ticket at Narita Airport, and *then* you'll select your dates and times for both your outbound and return journeys to reserve your seats.
I'll walk you through this process in more detail just below!
2. From Narita Airport to Tokyo Station
When you're heading from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station, once you've arrived, simply follow the 'Train' and 'JR' signs.
You just need to head to the underground train station.
For Terminal 1, use Narita Airport Terminal 1 station,
and for Terminals 2 & 3, use the Narita Airport Terminal 2·3 station.
📌 Issuing Your One-Way Ticket
If you purchased a one-way ticket through Klook,
have the QR code from your voucher ready.
At the Narita Airport JR reserved seat ticket machine,
select the QR code scanning option,
and simply scan the QR code on your voucher.
Since your train and seat are already designated when you book a one-way ticket,
there's no need to select seats again at the station.
Just print your physical ticket,
insert it into the ticket gate, and you're good to go.
📌 Issuing Your Round-Trip Ticket
For round-trip tickets, first scan your Klook voucher using the QR code scanning option on the ticket machine.
You'll then receive two tickets, one for your outbound journey and one for your return.
Tip: This isn't the final step; you still need to reserve your seats.
After pressing "Reserved Seat",
select "Reserve seat with discounted ticket",
then insert your issued tickets one by one to specify your boarding date, destination, time, and seat.

so be sure to exchange and reserve your return ticket in advance there.
3. Boarding Experience
The Narita Express has all reserved seats,
so simply find the car and seat number indicated on your ticket.
The generous seat spacing meant I could sit comfortably all the way to Tokyo, even feeling tired after my flight.
You can also enjoy light snacks on the train, so on days I was hungry after flying with an LCC,
I'd grab a sandwich or snack from a convenience store before boarding.
(There's also a restroom on board the train.)
NEX also has a separate storage area for large luggage,
which made traveling much more relaxed.
If you're traveling with large suitcases,
it's definitely more convenient to use the dedicated luggage space on the train.
There are also overhead racks above the seats,
so you can keep smaller items like backpacks or carry-on suitcases close by.
4. From Tokyo Station, Shinjuku Station to the Airport
On your last day, when returning to Narita Airport from Tokyo Station,
just follow the JR Line and NEX signs.
Tokyo Station is incredibly large, so the first time I visited,
it took me quite a while to find my way.
If you're traveling with luggage,
I recommend arriving at least 20-30 minutes early, rather than cutting it close to your train's departure time.
If you purchased a round-trip ticket, simply use the return ticket you exchanged in advance at Narita Airport.
