Today, I'm excited to share my honest, personal review of Square Garden, a relatively new and absolutely stunning large-scale bakery cafe in Namyangju, boasting breathtaking North Han River views. It's truly one of the best family-friendly places to visit with kids near Seoul in 2026!
With its wide-open river scenery and expansive outdoor garden, Square Garden makes for a perfect weekend drive destination or a delightful family outing.
1. Ambiance & Family-Friendly Views
Square Garden is an impressively large cafe, with its main Square building seamlessly connected to the Coffee Square. This expansive layout ensures plenty of space for everyone.
While you can certainly enjoy the connected annex after ordering, I highly recommend heading straight to the second or third floors. These levels offer unparalleled, sweeping views of the North Han River that truly elevate the experience.
With floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, you'll always have a clear, unobstructed view of the picturesque river. The tables are generously spaced, and the high ceilings prevent any feeling of being cramped, creating a truly relaxed and pleasant environment.
The outdoor garden, located right in front of the cafe, is beautifully landscaped. It's an excellent spot for a leisurely stroll with your kids or for capturing some lovely family photos.
This cafe offers a delightful array of fragrant baked goods, kid-favorite desserts, and even ice cream. It's the perfect place to grab a snack or a treat when you and the little ones are feeling a bit peckish.
