Finding the Perfect Bite Near Nami Island
With so many dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) spots surrounding the area, choosing the right one can feel a bit overwhelming. After scanning options, we settled on one with a stellar 4.2 Google rating, boasting the most reviews and located just across the street from the bus stop. Welcome to the spacious and incredibly clean Nami Island Cocco Chuncheon Dakgalbi!
It's conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the Nami Island ferry wharf.

The Seating & Vibe

The main dining area features about ten 4-person tables, with even more seating options tucked further inside. We arrived early and managed to grab a table without any wait, but the place filled up rapidly, reaching near-full capacity in no time. If you visit during peak weekend hours, be prepared for a potential wait! They also have high chairs available for families traveling with toddlers.

Opening Hours
Monday - Friday: 9:30 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday - Sunday: 9:30 AM - 9:30 PM
The Menu
Ordering is a breeze thanks to the user-friendly digital kiosks. You can choose between the classic pan-fried Chuncheon Dakgalbi or the smoky charcoal-grilled BBQ styles (available in salt-seasoned or soy-marinated options). They even offer mild, kid-friendly dakgalbi portions!

To round out your meal, you can try their famous buckwheat noodles (Bibim Makguksu), local specialty pine nut cold water noodles (Gapyeong is famous for its high-quality pine nuts), savory buckwheat chive pancakes, and warm stews served with rice.

They also run fantastic promotions! By leaving a quick review, you can score free udon noodles or extra cheese toppings, which would normally cost ~$2 and ~$3 respectively. And if you want to end your meal like a local, don't forget to order the legendary post-dakgalbi fried rice! Best of all, they offer a complimentary pickup service to and from Gapyeong Station—talk about top-tier convenience!
Fresh Side Dishes

The initial spread includes crunchy kelp noodle salad (cheonsachae), fresh lettuce, garlic with ssamjang, mild white kimchi, and a zesty onion salad. While the initial portions might look modest, there is a fully stocked self-serve side dish bar where you can help yourself to unlimited refills!
Self-Serve Side Dish Bar

They offer two varieties of lettuce that tasted incredibly fresh, almost as if they were hand-picked directly from a backyard garden. We couldn't get enough of them!

The Main Feast

We ordered two servings of the classic Chuncheon Dakgalbi (~$10 per serving) along with a bowl of refreshing Bibim Makguksu. The staff handles all the grilling for you, so you can sit back, relax, and watch the magic happen. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, and the vegetables—crisp cabbage, fragrant perilla leaves, and sweet pumpkin—felt exceptionally fresh. It's easy to see why this place is so highly rated!

Unlike standard chewy naengmyeon (cold wheat noodles), the buckwheat makguksu has a soft, delicate texture that cuts right through the richness of the chicken, offering a savory, spicy, and perfectly clean finish.

Though we initially worried the portion size might be on the smaller side, it turned out to be incredibly filling. We left completely satisfied and happily stuffed!

There is a massive parking lot located directly to the right of the building. Best of all, customers enjoy free all-day parking, making it the perfect base for your Nami Island adventure!
