3. Exceptional Quality Seafood & DIY Don

What truly impressed my partner and me at Nama wasn't just the excellent sushi and sashimi, but particularly their standout offerings of botan shrimp and salmon roe!

The highlight for us was the ability to create our own DIY kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) by combining various fresh seafood. The sheer fun and incredible taste alone made the visit worthwhile :)

I've traveled to Japan frequently, and I can honestly say the quality of the botan shrimp and salmon roe here surpassed what I've found in many Japanese restaurants – absolutely no fishy smell!

With our next Bangkok trip planned for this coming winter (2026-2027), Nama is already at the top of our must-revisit list!

4. Enjoying Bangkok Views from the 24th Floor

Another incredible aspect that truly elevated our experience was the view!

Situated on the 24th floor of the hotel, Nama allows you to dine while gazing out at the sprawling Bangkok cityscape from a stunning vantage point!

It's not just about the food; it's about enjoying a leisurely meal, sharing conversations, and soaking in the vibrant Bangkok scenery.

This made our dining experience feel truly special during our trip!

My previous two visits were during the day, offering serene panoramic cityscapes. Next time, I'm definitely planning a dinner reservation to soak in the dazzling Bangkok night view :)

5. A Truly Satisfying Meal

Every single dish was meticulously prepared, clean, and absolutely delicious!

What's more, instead of pre-made dishes, you order what you want via a QR code at your table, and it's prepared fresh on the spot. This made everything feel incredibly fresh and vibrant :)

The DIY kaisendon, in particular, was both fun and incredibly tasty!

Honestly, just making your own kaisendon here feels like you're getting amazing value for your meal...?!

In Japan, even adding just one botan shrimp can cost over ~$4, but here, you get unlimited, fresh botan shrimp!

The salmon roe and salmon were also fresher and tastier than what I've had at many dedicated Japanese restaurants~

Writing this post just makes me want to fly back to Thailand this winter and visit Nama Japanese Seafood Buffet again!❤️

In the US, I'd expect to pay at least ~$73-~$109 for this level of quality.

To enjoy such a fantastic and delicious experience at a much more affordable price in Bangkok was truly a treat and well worth it!

And the desserts were the perfect finish...!!!

Especially the melon – it was incredibly sweet, like pure sugar! You absolutely have to try the melon for a refreshing end to your meal ❤️
