Mysuiteshome Bologna Review 2026: Best Family Apartment Stay
Looking for the best family stay in Bologna? Read our honest review of Mysuiteshome Apartments, featuring spacious rooms, great amenities, and local vibes.
My Honest Review of Mysuiteshome Apartments
For food lovers like my husband and me, Bologna is a city that leaves a lasting impression.
Widely regarded as Italy's ultimate culinary capital, it is affectionately nicknamed 'La Grassa' (The Fat One) for its incredibly rich food culture.
But it wasn't just the amazing pasta and mortadella that made our trip so memorable.
Our accommodation, which we carefully researched and booked, turned out to be an absolute gem.
Here is my detailed review of our stay.
1. A Clean and Spacious Retreat: Mysuiteshome Apartments
📍 Mysuiteshome
Via Guido Guinizelli, 6, 40125 Bologna BO, Italy
📌 Quick Property Overview
Property Name: Mysuiteshome Apartments
Address: Via Guido Guinizelli, 6, 40125 BO, Italy
Transit: About a 20-minute walk (approx. 1 mile) to the heart of Bologna
Room Type: Apartment-style with a living room, full kitchen, and a separate bedroom area
Best For: Couples, families, and long-term travelers
Minor Downside: Slightly outside the immediate city center

*Bologna Old Town
When searching for the perfect place to stay in Bologna, we had three main criteria:
✔️ High standards of cleanliness
✔️ Reasonable pricing
✔️ Walkable distance to major attractions
Mysuiteshome Apartments checked every single box when it came to cleanliness and sheer room size.
At first, I was slightly concerned about the distance from the main piazza. However, walking around turned out to be a highlight. We got to experience the city like locals, strolling past peaceful neighborhood parks and charming residential streets every morning and evening.
Plus, Bologna's bus network is highly efficient. If you do not feel like walking back after a long day of sightseeing, you can easily catch a bus. We did exactly that one evening when we stayed out late in the historic center.
Far More Spacious and Comfortable Than a Standard Hotel

*Apartment Exterior
The biggest selling point of this property is that the rooms are **significantly larger** than your typical European hotel room.
The layout features a separate living room and kitchen area, and the bedroom is partitioned off, offering a great sense of privacy. Walking in, it felt less like a sterile hotel and more like a cozy local home. The building itself has that classic, beautiful European architecture that instantly puts you in a holiday mood.

While we only stayed for two nights, this setup is absolutely perfect for families or anyone planning a stay of three nights or more. Having a kitchen to prepare simple meals and plenty of floor space to unpack multiple suitcases makes a massive difference.
Even the entry-level apartments can comfortably accommodate up to three guests.

*Using the electric kettle for a quick snack / Seamless self-check-in instructions are clearly laid out in a handy booklet
While I wish I had taken more photos, the overall layout is incredibly functional and intuitive. Here is a quick look at the average nightly rates for Mysuiteshome Apartments across major booking platforms:
~$185 | |
🔎 Agoda | ~$189 |
I booked our stay via Booking.com. Since the price difference between platforms is usually minimal, I recommend booking through whichever platform you prefer or have loyalty status with. It boasts an exceptional 9.2/10 rating from guests!
