If you're keen on exploring historical Tokyo, Asakusa is roughly a 15-minute walk away, making it easy to get an early start on sightseeing without any hassle.

The only minor downside is that while Asakusa is easily accessible, reaching areas like Shinjuku or Shibuya might take a bit longer by train.

At reception, you can purchase disposable amenities if needed. When you check in, you'll receive a guest guide, a key card, and a locker key.

The key card grants you access to the elevators and your capsule room floor, while the locker key is for storing your luggage and shoes. Make sure to keep both safe!

Next to the reception, there’s a comfortable lounge area. It's equipped with a water dispenser, microwave, coffee maker, and vending machines, making it a perfect spot to grab a snack or simply relax.

They even have tables specifically set up for solo travelers, which is a thoughtful touch and super helpful if you're exploring Tokyo on your own.

After exiting the elevator, you'll find the capsule room entrance, which you unlock with your key card.

My assigned capsule was a bunk-bed style, with a clear number above the bed, so there was no confusion about which one was mine.

Underneath the bed, there’s a personal storage locker where you can easily access your luggage whenever needed. This was, hands down, the biggest advantage compared to other capsule hotels I've experienced. The locker also has a separate compartment for shoes and can be securely locked with your key, giving you peace of mind.

On the bed, I found a mesh bag containing a fresh towel and pajamas, which were replaced daily—a really nice touch!

Inside the capsule, there's even a TV you can watch with earphones. Charging cables and lighting controls are conveniently located by the headboard. A small shelf, mirror, and clothes hanger on one side made organizing my essentials and getting ready a breeze.

However, remember that eating inside the capsule room is prohibited. Any food or drinks should be consumed in the 2nd-floor lounge area.

While the capsule door is a blind-style, offering privacy rather than perfect soundproofing, the overall atmosphere was quiet, and everyone was considerate about keeping noise levels down.

MyCUBE by MYSTAYS Asakusa: Shared Facilities Review

Stepping off the elevator, you'll find the shower rooms and restrooms to your left.

The individual shower stalls and powder room are well-separated, providing a great sense of privacy. This is a huge plus!

Especially noteworthy is shower room #1, which even has a bathtub! It was wonderful to soak away the day's travel fatigue with a bath bomb after a long day of exploring. ☺️

Each station in the powder room has a hairdryer, so there’s no waiting around. Plus, complimentary toothpaste, toothbrush sets, and cotton swabs are provided, which adds to the convenience.

Overall, MyCUBE by MYSTAYS Asakusa was an incredibly convenient place to stay, thanks to its location right next to Kuramae Station.

My actual stay confirmed that despite being a capsule hotel, it offered ample personal space and the ability to store my luggage individually, which was a game-changer.
