My Name is Paris Guesthouse Review: Cozy Budget Stay
Looking for an affordable stay in Paris? Read our review of My Name is Paris, a cozy, budget-friendly guesthouse perfect for your next French getaway.

Affordable Paris Guesthouse Recommendation
My Name is Paris
With weekend accommodation prices in central Paris skyrocketing in 2026, staying slightly outside the city center at a cozy, budget-friendly guesthouse is a fantastic alternative.
That is how I discovered My Name is Paris, an incredible find at just ~$83 per night! The space was lovely, and the host's hospitality made my stay absolutely wonderful.
Location

In terms of location, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the Louvre Museum via Metro Line 7. Admittedly, it is not right in the heart of the tourist district.
However, Line 7 connects directly to most major attractions without needing a transfer, and the station is just an easy 8-minute walk (around 0.4 miles) from the guesthouse, making it highly convenient.

Plus, there is a large supermarket right outside the metro station, which is perfect for picking up fresh groceries and snacks for dinner.
Pricing

The price is an unbeatable ~$83 per night!
While many local guesthouses enforce a strict 3-night minimum stay, My Name is Paris only requires a 2-night minimum, which is a huge plus for shorter weekend trips.
While it is slightly removed from the city center, the incredible value makes the location feel like a minor compromise!

The Rooms

The host lives on the second floor, while the entire ground floor is dedicated to the guest accommodation, offering plenty of privacy.

The layout features a combined kitchen-living area and a separate bedroom. There is also access to a charming balcony, which is perfect for hanging laundry to dry on sunny days.

They have thought of everything—a microwave, a capsule coffee machine, and even a beautiful tea set are waiting for you.

The host has two adorable Shiba Inus living upstairs! While they occasionally hang out in the yard, they didn't come down during my stay. Even if you aren't a dog person, don't worry—they never enter the guest quarters!

A refrigerator and a washing machine are fully at your disposal. The host also thoughtfully provided fresh towels, six bottles of water, and an emergency first-aid kit.

The kitchen is fully stocked with an induction stove, a rice cooker, a toaster, and all the essential cookware you might need.
Since dining out in Paris can be incredibly expensive, buying ingredients at the local supermarket and cooking dinner at home is a great way to save money.

The bedroom features two large, comfortable beds and a vanity table. The room itself is impressively spacious.
Since I visited during the chilly winter season, the host equipped the beds with electric heated mattress pads. It kept me incredibly warm and cozy throughout my entire stay!

Additionally, the room is furnished with a spacious wardrobe, a hairdryer, an air purifier, and multiple power strips to charge all your devices easily.

The bathroom is compact but highly functional, with a separate shower cubicle, sink, and toilet. Pro-tip: Paris is known for its hard water, so bringing a travel shower filter is highly recommended!

One night, I had a sudden late-night craving for instant noodles and messaged the host on messenger to ask if the local supermarket sold them. To my surprise, the host came down personally to give me some delicious noodles! I was so touched by their genuine kindness.
If you are looking for an affordable, cozy, and welcoming place to stay to beat the high cost of traveling in Paris, I highly recommend My Name is Paris!
