The honest truth about the weather is that you'll only know on the day itself.

There was thunder and lightning, but it didn't rain during the tour itself,

and heavy clouds meant we couldn't see the sunrise.

If you're traveling to Bali during the rainy season,

it's good to be prepared for this possibility in advance.

But it wasn't all disappointment.

Our guide took so many fantastic photos and videos for us,

so even though we missed the sunrise, we definitely got some incredible 'life shots'!

If you're hesitating because of the weather,

I recommend checking the available dates that fit your itinerary first.

I departed from my accommodation in Ubud,

and the pickup time was around 2:30 AM to 3:00 AM.

Since this tour starts very early in the morning,

many people schedule it for their very first day in Bali after arriving.

Good to know: airport pickup is also available,

so you can join immediately after arriving in Bali!

After being picked up and traveling in the vehicle,

we transferred to a jeep and ascended Mount Batur along the volcanic paths.

I'd heard that it could be very dusty and cold at this time,

so I packed a mask and a light padded jacket.

Perhaps because it was raining, lol, there wasn't much dust,

and I didn't feel particularly cold either.

Things like a mask, light padded jacket, windbreaker, or hand warmers

can be packed according to your own comfort level.

Looking at other people's reviews,

some even said they borrowed blankets because it was so chilly!

To be completely honest, you might not see it.

We also didn't get to see the sunrise directly because it was very cloudy.

Due to the nature of volcanic regions, the weather changes quickly,

and visibility is often obscured by clouds or rain.

I heard that happens quite often.

But there's a reason I didn't regret it.

Our guide kept taking photos and videos for us,

so even though we didn't actually see the sunrise, we got photos that look like we did,

and definitely got some amazing, 'once-in-a-lifetime' shots, lol.

Personally, the most impressive scene was

the sight of all the jeeps lined up.

This is truly a rare sight you won't see anywhere else,

and I'm so glad we captured it in photos.

Some people book the jeep tour alone,

while others, like me, choose a package that includes Akasa Cafe.

and it turned out to be really satisfying.
