When you're exploring Bangkok, a culinary adventure is an absolute must! And for an unforgettable dining experience, Mott 32 truly stands out. The best part? You can enjoy its exquisite offerings at a fraction of the price you'd pay in cities like Seoul, making it an incredibly appealing choice.😭
My husband is a huge fan of discovering new restaurants, so we made sure to visit Mott 32 during our trip!

You'll find this gem on the 2nd floor of the iconic Mahanakhon Building, a famous landmark in Bangkok.

Befitting a high-end Chinese restaurant, the ambiance is sophisticated, with dim lighting and a serene atmosphere.
As you enter, you'll likely spot the impressive display of Peking Ducks. Since it was just the two of us, we regrettably had to pass on ordering a whole one this time. 😭

My husband ordered some wine, and I opted for a beer as we eagerly awaited our dishes.

1️⃣ Shanghai-style Hot and Sour Soup Dumplings
These are one of Mott 32's signature dim sum dishes.
When you take a bite, the savory and slightly tangy broth bursts out, and it's even more delicious when enjoyed with a sprinkle of ginger shreds!
Considering they cost around ~$15 in Seoul but only around ~$5 here in Bangkok, making them about a third of the price, how could we possibly resist?

2️⃣ Black Truffle Quail Egg Siu Mai
These had a delicate truffle aroma, and inside, they were filled with a perfectly soft-boiled quail egg and savory meat.
As a big fan of truffle, I found that it paired wonderfully with the dim sum, making it incredibly enjoyable.

3️⃣ Peking Duck Spring Rolls
To make up for not ordering the whole Peking Duck, we decided to try these. My husband actually said these were his favorite among the three dim sum dishes we ordered!
For me, they were good but seemed quite standard. The hot and sour soup dumplings were definitely my top pick! :)

🌟Crispy Pork Belly🌟
Honestly, this dish alone is a reason to visit Mott 32! My husband insisted we had to try it.
Keep in mind that the Crispy Pork Belly is a dish that requires advance reservation.

It features an incredibly crispy skin, with tender, succulent meat beneath. When paired with the mustard sauce, it truly offers another layer of deliciousness.

🌟Stir-fried Kale🌟
To fill up a bit more, we asked for a recommendation and ordered this dish.
Stir-fried with oyster sauce, it offered a delightful umami flavor complemented by the subtle sweetness of the kale. It was perfectly savory, making it impossible not to order rice to go with it! Haha.
This was the dish we ordered with the least expectation, yet it turned out to be the most impactful and delicious, according to my husband!

Compared to Mott 32 in Seoul, the prices here in Bangkok were significantly more affordable, which made our dining experience even more satisfying.
I genuinely recommend you give it a try!
