With so many affordable yet high-quality hotels in Nha Trang's city center, it's easy to feel overwhelmed trying to pick the perfect place to stay.
After much deliberation, we finally settled on the Melia Vinpearl Empire Hotel.
Today, I'll share why we chose this hotel and give you a detailed review of our one-night stay in a Deluxe Room!
First, let's cover some basic hotel information.

Check-in Time: 3:00 PM onwards Check-out Time: By 12:00 PM Room Rate: Under ~$77 per night (based on two adults) |
The Melia Vinpearl Empire Nha Trang Hotel is ideally located in Nha Trang's city center, offering fantastic accessibility.
📍 It's conveniently close to popular tourist spots like the beach, famous eateries, and even a Lotte Mart.
Plus, with room rates often under ~$77 per night for both weekdays and weekends, it's a budget-friendly option that won't break the bank.

When I recently compared prices, Agoda offered the best deal if you wanted breakfast included, while other platforms were cheaper for room-only bookings.
So, you can choose based on whether or not you need breakfast.
Next, I'll tell you why we booked the Melia Vinpearl Empire Hotel and share some insights on the area's safety.

As it was our first trip to Nha Trang, my partner and I prioritized ✅ location, value for money, and, of course, the room view.
As mentioned, all the city's best eateries and conveniences are clustered nearby, making it perfect for exploring. The fact that a weekend night, including breakfast, came in at a fantastic ~$69 was incredibly appealing.

✅ We specifically hoped for an ocean view room.
Although the hotel is a couple of blocks from the beachfront, its impressive height of over 40 stories means you can still enjoy stunning ocean vistas!
Meeting these three key criteria made our decision easy.

Even though Nha Trang is a popular tourist destination, some might worry about safety in Southeast Asia.
During our stay, we walked around the hotel's vicinity, and with numerous restaurants and plenty of foot traffic, we had no safety concerns during the day.
While the crowds thin out late in the evening, the area around the hotel is popular with tourists, so there were always enough foreigners around that we never felt unsafe.
Let's move on to the hotel lobby and the check-in process.

As expected from a 5-star hotel, the lobby was expansive and boasted a rather luxurious interior.
Check-in was quick and easy, simply requiring our passports. After check-in, there was a facial registration process. We were told this was for face recognition entry at the breakfast restaurant the next day. It was our first time encountering such a system, which we found quite novel!

The hotel rooms extended up to the 40th floor, and with such height, it was helpful to have five elevators available.

We had requested a high-floor, ocean-view room when booking, and fortunately, our request was granted!
Now, let's dive into the ambiance and our experience in the Deluxe Ocean View room we stayed in.

The sheer size of the room immediately impressed us upon entering.
As a 5-star establishment, even the most basic Deluxe Room felt incredibly spacious with plenty of room to relax.

The bed was large enough for two to comfortably spread out, and the bedside lamps added a nice touch to the ambiance.
The overall interior was predominantly white, which created a bright and airy feel even in the evening.

The room also featured a two-person seating area with a table and a TV, which was perfect for enjoying snacks and watching shows in the evening.
However, while there's a countertop area that looks like a kitchen, don't expect cooking utensils or pots and pans.
Complimentary water, coffee, and tea were provided as standard amenities and were freely available for our use.

You'll find bathrobes, slippers, and a safe all neatly tucked away in the closet to the left of the bed.
Surprisingly, there was even a weighing scale provided – handy for tracking those vacation indulgences!

Next, the bathroom felt a bit compact in comparison to the spacious room.

It featured a simple setup with a toilet, shower, and sink, with the shower area neatly separated.
However, for a 5-star hotel, I personally found the lack of a bathtub a minor disappointment.

Despite this, all the essential bathroom amenities were provided, including a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, so there was no need to pack our own personal care items, which was very convenient.
While the room itself was pleasantly spacious and comfortable, the true highlight of this accommodation is undoubtedly the ocean view.

Behind the curtains, a small balcony awaits, perfect for soaking in the outdoor scenery.
Our assigned room offered an unobstructed, panoramic view of the ocean.

Waking up early to witness the sunrise was a truly breathtaking experience, painting both the sky and sea in vibrant hues of red and orange.
Watching the sunrise comfortably from bed made me feel incredibly glad we chose this hotel.

Just a heads-up, from morning to midday, the balcony can get quite warm due to direct sunlight.
However, as we were typically out exploring during these hours, it wasn't a major issue for our stay.
We only spent one night at the Melia Vinpearl Empire Hotel in Nha Trang's city center during our trip, but I personally found it more satisfying than many resorts.
While it's hard to directly compare it to a tranquil resort due to its bustling nature and high occupancy, the room rate was more than half the price, and the ocean view from our room was perfect for a relaxing 'staycation' vibe.
✅ Furthermore, its proximity to various city eateries like Banh Mi Phan and even late-night spots like Baroi significantly enhanced our travel convenience.
Personally, with so many fantastic breakfast spots nearby, I'd recommend booking the room only rather than including breakfast.
If you're skipping breakfast, you'll often find better rates through the link below. Check out the reviews and book your stay!
