When planning my trip to Nha Trang, the biggest dilemma I had was
whether to stay in the city center or book a resort in Cam Ranh.
To give you the bottom line right away,
if sightseeing is your main goal, the city center is super convenient,
but if you're looking for absolute relaxation, Cam Ranh offers a much higher level of satisfaction.
For this trip,
I stayed in a 2-Bedroom Villa at Meliá Vinpearl Cam Ranh Beach Resort,
and the layout was absolutely perfect for a relaxing family getaway in Nha Trang.
Specifically, featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it is
highly recommended for those traveling with parents
or families traveling with kids!

At first, I was a bit worried because the resort is far from Nha Trang city center,
wondering if it would be inconvenient.
But once I got there, I actually loved the quiet,
peaceful atmosphere so much more.
You can easily enjoy the city center by doing a checkout tour on your last day,
which was more than enough to experience Nha Trang.
While the city center has the night market, great restaurants, and massage shops packed together,
making it ideal for sightseeing,
it can also get quite crowded and chaotic.
On the other hand, Cam Ranh is a dedicated resort area,
making it a far better environment to relax, gaze at the ocean, splash in the pool,
and leisurely enjoy your precious vacation time.
Even getting food or massages is incredibly easy:
if you book a nearby shop within a 10-minute drive, they usually offer free resort pick-up!
We had zero issues dining out and enjoying ourselves throughout our 4-day, 3-night stay.
Especially if the main goal of your family trip is relaxation,
I highly recommend staying in Cam Ranh over the city center.
When I made my booking, prices varied depending on the season and room type,
but

What's great is that Cam Ranh resorts

so you might find quite a big price difference even for the exact same dates.
The room I stayed in was
a 2-Bedroom Garden View Pool Villa.
The layout of the villa was way more spacious than I expected!

The bedrooms were completely independent from one another,
making it perfect for family trips with parents and kids, or traveling with friends—
it easily accommodates 4 adults without feeling crowded at all.
In the 2-bedroom villa,
the setup was 1 double bed and 2 single beds.
The absolute best part?
Having two bathrooms.
Anyone who has ever traveled with family knows the struggle—
when morning rolls around,
you basically have to coordinate a schedule just to use the bathroom.
But here, with two bathrooms,
everyone could get ready at the same time, which was incredibly convenient.
The bathroom areas were also quite spacious,
and I loved that the vanity and shower spaces were separated.
Everything was kept spotlessly clean and well-maintained.
All the essential amenities were fully stocked in the room.
Shampoo / Conditioner / Body Wash / Hand Wash / Cotton Swabs / Toothbrushes
and even a hair dryer, so we barely had to pack any toiletries.
Above all, the best part was
staying in a true pool villa resort with our very own private pool.
Especially if you're planning a family trip to Nha Trang,
you don't even need to head to the public pool—you can enjoy it right outside your room!
One of the biggest highlights of Meliá Vinpearl Cam Ranh
is definitely its fantastic range of resort facilities.
The main swimming pool is impressively large,
making it perfect for kids to splash around,
while still offering plenty of space for adults to enjoy a relaxing swim.
While the private pool in the villa is amazing,
the vibe at the main pool is so lovely that I highly recommend checking out both!
They also provide fresh towels right by the pool,
so you can easily wrap up breakfast, take a leisurely stroll, and dive straight in.
Personally, what I loved most was the resort grounds themselves.
The lush palm trees and beautifully landscaped gardens
made for the most peaceful morning and evening strolls.
Even without leaving the resort, you get that ultimate tropical getaway vibe.
Plus, with the private beach just steps away,
it was so lovely to go for walks along the sandy shore.
One thing I really realized on this trip
is that Nha Trang city center and Cam Ranh offer completely different travel styles.

Personally, I found Cam Ranh to be much more rewarding.
Just swimming in the villa, winding down,
and watching the ocean waves roll in

how satisfying your accommodation is becomes so much more important.
