My Dahab, Egypt Accommodation Recommendation
Private Dahab Rental / Perfect for Long-Term Stays / Steps from the Sea
ⓒWhereToYeong
Out of all the places I visited during my Egypt trip,
the place I stayed the longest was definitely Dahab.
For us, where we stay
can truly make or break the travel experience.
So we chose very carefully, weighing location, budget, and vibe.
To give you a quick spoiler,
it was an absolute winner for both value and location.
Best of all, the gorgeous Red Sea was just a 5-minute walk away.
Taking diving classes in the morning
and snorkeling in the sea right behind our place in the afternoon
was absolute bliss.
01. Why I Recommend This Dahab Stay
Dahab is a place where travelers often stay
✔ for Scuba Diving Certifications
✔ or Freediving Lessons
making it a hub for long-term backpackers and slow travelers.
Since we were also planning on staying a while to get our scuba diving certifications,
we were on the hunt for a place that felt like home.
Somewhere we could truly relax and unwind after a day in the water.
So instead of a crowded Dahab guesthouse or hostel,
we started looking for a private entire apartment just for the two of us.
And that's when we stumbled upon this gem:
📍 Mannam apartment boho

✔ Private, entire apartment structure
✔ Features a cozy little yard
✔ In-unit laundry available
✔ Brand new, modern feel
✔ Beautifully styled boho interior, super clean
It checked absolutely every single box on our wishlist.
We loved it so much throughout our stay
that my friend and I kept saying, "If we ever come back to Dahab, we are 100% staying here again."
We just couldn't stop raving about it!
02. Dahab Accommodation: Rates & Booking
Compared to typical beach resort destinations,
accommodation in Dahab is incredibly budget-friendly!
💰 Average Rates
✔ Guesthouses: ~$6 to ~$19
✔ Entire Private Homes: ~$32 to ~$64
We booked the Mannam apartment boho
for around ~$32 per night.
You won't find this place on other booking sites;
it was only available through the link below.

03. Checking in to Our Private Dahab Escape

Right after booking, the host reached out to us.
Since they were nearby, they even came over to greet us in person.
There is a black key lockbox to the left of the entrance door.
This made going out for diving lessons or strolls super convenient,
as we could easily store and access the key with a passcode.

While we were checking in, they also brought us some ice-cold water from the fridge,
and it’s those little, thoughtful details that really make you feel welcome.
(Don't you think the water bottle and cups are so stylish? 🤍)
04. Inside Our Private Egyptian Apartment
The apartment was divided into a
living room / bedroom / bathroom layout,
and it felt incredibly spacious and clean overall.

The living room featured a large sofa bed,
which became our ultimate go-to spot for lounging,
watching videos, and enjoying light meals.
There were also plenty of power outlets,
making it super easy to charge all our gear while relaxing.

As for the kitchen,
✔ Induction cooktop, refrigerator, electric kettle, and sink
It had all the essentials ready,
making it absolutely perfect for a long-term stay.

The kitchen area was also quite spacious,
so we could neatly organize all the food supplies
we brought from Korea right next to the countertop.

The bedroom was incredibly clean and had a spacious wardrobe,
plus we loved that there were plenty of outlets everywhere.
The air conditioner was a newer model that blew ice-cold air,
so we completely forgot about the heat during our entire stay.

The bathroom door had a gorgeous antique vibe,
and the shower had a dedicated shelf space
where we could keep all our toiletries
neatly organized throughout our long-term stay.

The sink was also super clean,
and all the essentials like hand soap and toilet paper
were immediately restocked whenever we requested them,
so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Plus, there was a squeegee in the bathroom,
which made keeping it dry and mold-free so easy.

The bedroom has a tiny window looking out into the living area,
and the living room's front window is made of yellow stained glass,
which looked absolutely stunning when the sunlight poured in.
05. Outside the Private Egypt Guesthouse

Outside, there's a charming little yard and a table,
offering a perfect cozy nook to wind down.

You can turn on the outdoor lights at night,
which created an incredibly dreamy vibe.

And of course, we had frequent visits from
local cat friends 🐱
which was such a sweet, healing highlight for us.
06. Laundry Facilities at the Egypt Rental
If you're planning a long-term stay in Dahab,
having reliable laundry facilities is absolutely essential.
✔ Diving, swimming, and sweating...
you'll find yourself dealing with constant piles of laundry.

Thankfully, there was a washing machine out in the yard,
which we could use completely free of charge.
While detergent and fabric softener were provided,
we brought our own capsule pods from Korea and used those instead.

There was also a dedicated clothesline, so drying everything was a breeze.

The weather in Egypt is incredibly dry,
so if we hung our laundry in the morning and came back from diving, it was already bone-dry.
That feeling of crisp, fresh laundry was honestly indescribable.
(Just two happy laundry fanatics... 🫧)
07. Best Part of This Dahab Stay: Access to the Sea
The absolute best thing about this place has to be the easy beach access.
Just a short walk away,
and you're standing right in front of the gorgeous Red Sea.

Even from a distance,
you can see the coral-filled, emerald-blue sea.
The walk down to the water was absolutely beautiful.
Taking diving lessons in the morning,
and snorkeling here in the afternoon
quickly became our daily routine. 🤿

The shallow area stretches out pretty far, meaning tons of coral and colorful tropical fish.
I completely lost track of time while snorkeling here.

Just dip your head underwater and swim around a bit,
and you'll spot exotic fish like lionfish right away.
It was an absolute paradise for enjoying the Red Sea.

Ordering coffee or a dessert at a nearby cafe,
leaving our bags there while we swam,
and sipping fresh fruit juice on the way back home was the perfect daily ritual.
08. My Honest Review of the Dahab Accommodation
Most travelers in Dahab usually stay
in the bustling town center near Lighthouse Reef,
but we wanted a quieter vibe and some quality time just for the two of us.
That's why we chose this lovely spot slightly tucked away from the main hub.
Even though it's a bit away from the center,
taxis only cost about ~$1,
so getting around was incredibly cheap and easy.
Plus, there is a grocery store just a 5-minute walk away,
so grabbing quick snacks, groceries, or water
was super convenient.
When we went to our scuba diving lessons,
the instructors picked us up right in front of the house,
so we never felt like
the location was an issue at all.
If anything, it was much quieter than the town center,
allowing us to fully relax when we came back home.
We only have happy memories when we think of Dahab,
and I think this wonderful accommodation played a huge part in that.
📌 Dahab Accommodation Summary |
✔ Private entire apartment just for you ✔ Quiet location compared to the town center ✔ Super affordable taxi rides (about ~$1) ✔ Grocery store within walking distance ✔ Perfect for long-term stays |
If you're looking for a place where you can truly relax
and feel genuinely happy and at peace during your trip,
I highly recommend this private apartment in Dahab.
