Maiyue Hotel Chongqing Review 2026: Panoramic River Views
Searching for a Chongqing hotel with breathtaking river views and top-notch comfort? Our 2026 review of Maiyue Hotel Chongqing reveals why it's a hidden gem for discerning travelers.
Maiyue Hotel Chongqing

When you search for hotels in Chongqing, you'll notice right away
that many of them feature stunning, floor-to-ceiling river views.
That's why when planning my Chongqing trip,
the view was my absolute top priority!
But with so few detailed English reviews out there,
and so many spots that only looked good in photos,
it was incredibly hard to choose.
After comparing options over and over, I finally booked the Maiyue Hotel.

And let me tell you, I have an excellent track record when it comes to picking hotels...
And once again, it was a massive success!!
If you’re like me and want those jaw-dropping views
without sacrificing modern, clean room conditions,
you absolutely have to check this place out—
I was genuinely so satisfied with my stay :)
Why I Chose This Hotel for My Chongqing Trip
My must-have criteria:
✔️ The View
✔️ Price Point
✔️ Room Condition
First off, when you look up hotels in Chongqing,
you'll often see "180-degree" or "270-degree" in the room names.
This refers to the layout of the panoramic windows.
Typically, a 180-degree room has windows on one side,
while a 270-degree room features wrap-around L-shaped windows,
giving you an even wider, more immersive panoramic view.
Usually, hotels with views this spectacular come with a hefty price tag,
but compared to other options, the Maiyue Hotel
offered incredibly reasonable rates.
On top of that, the rooms looked super clean and modern in photos,
and I double-checked several guest reviews before pulling the trigger.

Location
From the airport: Approx. 20-30 mins by car/taxi
Raffles City: 1-min walk
Hongyadong (Hongya Cave): Approx. 15-min walk
Jiefangbei (Liberation Monument): Approx. 10 mins by car, 20 mins on foot
Subway stations: 2 stations located nearby

Best of all, since Chongqing's iconic landmark, Raffles City, is right on your doorstep,
it's incredibly easy to navigate and find your way back!
And right here in front of Raffles City,
you can even get some amazing snap photos-!
With great eats and cafes scattered all around
and tons of shopping malls nearby, the location is absolutely unbeatable!

There's a Lawson convenience store on the 1st floor,
and in the evening, outdoor food stalls pop up right in front of the hotel,
which is perfect for grabbing a late-night bite.
Since it's such a lively, bustling area,
I didn't feel unsafe at all, even late at night.
Maiyue Hotel Review
Check-in 14:00
Check-out 12:00
In Chongqing, it's quite common to find
multiple accommodations clustered inside a single building,
and there are several different hotels inside this one too.
The Maiyue Hotel where I stayed is on the 44th floor!

The check-in area is wide open and spacious,
and since this whole floor has floor-to-ceiling windows,
the view from up here was already incredible.
You'll need to add the front desk on WeChat when checking in!
Any requests like room service or questions
can be easily communicated via messaging.
We even asked them for a local massage shop recommendation and went...🤣

Our assigned room was on the 48th floor.
To get to the guest room floors from here,
you have to transfer to a different elevator.
I think it's for security, especially since there are
multiple hotels operating in the same building.
It might be a minor inconvenience, but I loved this thoughtful touch!
The room type I chose was the
Yundan 270° River View Double Bed Room

The moment I opened the door, I literally gasped, "Wow..."
The room was so much cleaner and fresher than I expected,
and I absolutely loved the modern, minimalist decor.

Seriously, the view is just breathtaking! I was absolutely speechless.
With the river view and Raffles City right in front of you,
it's an absolute dream of a view in person.
Honestly, staying in this room means
you don't even need to search for a restaurant or bar with a good view...

There is also a bathtub right by the window,
so you can soak in the tub while soaking in the view.
My only regret is that we got back late every night and never got to use it...

The bed was so fluffy and spacious,
it was perfect for us as a taller(?) couple.
Chongqing uses 110V/different outlets, so make sure to pack a travel adapter or power strip!

The space is quite generous,
so we had no trouble laying out our large suitcases,
and there were plenty of hangers to easily organize our clothes.
Right next to it, bottled water, a kettle, and soft drinks were provided.

The toilet, shower, and sink are all separate,
and the shower area was surprisingly spacious and super clean. Total satisfaction!!
Because bathroom cleanliness is a top priority, right?

They also have a great selection of toiletries,
and the scent was absolutely lovely!!
They even provide toothbrushes and toothpaste,
so no need to worry if you forgot to bring yours...
The hairdryer also had strong airflow,
perfect for drying long hair quickly!

The toilet was also modern and high-tech,
so the bidet functions and flushing
can be controlled using the remote on the wall.
Honestly, I was absolutely in love with this room...💚
I heard there's even a laundry room on the same floor!
It would also be a great option for long-term guests.

Chongqing Maiyue Hotel Crystal Suite
As a side note, except for the most spacious suite, all other rooms
can accommodate up to 2 guests, and extra beds cannot be added.
The suite can accommodate up to 3 guests.
Even though it's a suite, it's not crazy expensive,
so it's definitely worth checking out!
Pricing & Booking
Prices per night range from ~$64 to ~$128.
I booked it on Trip.com in the ~$128 range per night.
Of course, the standard rooms are around ~$64,
so you can book it even cheaper!
Just so you know, Maiyue Hotel Chongqing is
a hotel you won't find on other platforms!
You can only find it on Trip.com
