Livin Collective Nha Trang: Family Steakhouse in Downtown

Reflecting on our Nha Trang family trip,

everyone was delighted with this Nha Trang city center steakhouse,

Livin Collective,

and I'm excited to share our review.

Even though Vietnam generally has affordable prices,

T-bone steaks can be a bit pricier.

But honestly, it's hard to find such quality in Korea,

so I decided to treat my parents to one in Vietnam!!

The result? Absolutely fantastic!

The air conditioning was great,

and the food quality was truly exceptional,

my parents absolutely loved it! Haha.

1. Basic Information

Livin Collective is located right in the heart of Nha Trang city center,

making it incredibly easy to get to.

I've marked it on the map,

and you can see it's truly in the central hub, surrounded by popular accommodations!

Especially for Korean travelers, many stay at hotels like

Virgo Hotel, Siesta Hotel, and Panorama Hotel,

all of which are nearby.

It's perfect for a relaxing stroll from your hotel.

Operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday,

from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Unlike many other Vietnamese restaurants that are open daily,

Livin is closed on Mondays.

Since they have a day off, if you plan to visit during your trip,

be sure to pick the right day!

Also, since they open at 4 PM,

it's a dinner-only spot! Haha.

If you visit using Google Maps,

you'll clearly see 'LIVIN' on the exterior sign,

but only 'Lola' is written on the first floor.

Don't be confused! Just go inside Lola,

and tell them you're here for Livin, and they'll guide you!

There's an internal staircase leading to the second floor,

so you naturally have to pass through Lola to get there.

As you ascend the spiral staircase,

you'll find a small hallway and restrooms,

as well as the entrance to the restaurant.

First off, the restrooms were even cleaner than many Korean restaurants,

and I was really impressed by how spotless they were! LOL.

The sinks are shared in the center.

Livin Collective has a total of two floors,

the second and third.

The second floor is indoors, while the third floor is outdoors,

so you can choose based on the weather!

The second floor looks like a typical restaurant,

or perhaps a more upscale fine dining establishment.

The third floor blends beautifully with nature,

and it's definitely prettier.

My parents loved it too! Haha.

However, due to the extremely hot weather, we just took a look around,

and headed back down to the second floor. Haha...

On a day with a nice, refreshing breeze,

I highly recommend the third floor!

It's genuinely beautiful!

The second floor had tables for larger groups,

and also tables for four or fewer people.

2. Menu

The menu was divided into sections for brunch, appetizers, soups and salads,

burgers, meat dishes, and desserts.

Looking at other reviews,

it seemed many people also enjoyed the burgers.

However, I was aiming for a higher-quality meal that my parents would truly appreciate,

which is why we visited.

So, we didn't order any burgers this time.

I feel like I'll be going to Nha Trang again soon,

and next time I'd love to try a burger, too, haha!

Anyway, from their extensive menu,

we ordered the

Seasonal Fruit Salad, Pulled Pork Tacos,

Creamy Goat Cheese Dip, Dirty Rice,

Spicy Rib Tips,

and finally, Livin's signature dish,

the T-bone Steak.

Here were the prices:

Seasonal Fruit Salad - 140,000 VND (~$6)

Pulled Pork Tacos - 150,000 VND (~$6)

Creamy Goat Cheese Dip - 150,000 VND (~$6)​

Dirty Rice - 50,000 VND (~$2)

Spicy Rib Tips - 130,000 VND (~$5)

T-bone Steak - 1,900,000 VND (~$79)

Total: roughly ~$102 to ~$109!

There were 5 of us in total.

3. Taste Review

First up!

The Creamy Goat Cheese Dip was

made from goat cheese, but surprisingly,

it wasn't too strong in flavor.

Instead, it felt more like dipping into a delicious, mild cheese,

making it perfect for a light bite, haha.

It felt just right for enjoying with a beer!

For the Spicy Rib Tips, I was hoping for something truly spicy,

but unfortunately, it wasn't the kind of heat

that Koreans typically crave. T.T

Still, it tasted like slightly spicy seasoned meat,

so it was definitely flavorful.

However, if you're tired of Vietnamese food

and really craving that specific Korean kind of spicy kick,

this menu item might not hit the spot...

The Seasonal Fruit Salad is

a seasonal fruit salad, and I was pleasantly surprised by its vibrant colors –

it looked beautiful.

My parents particularly loved this fruit salad,

so if you're traveling with your parents, I highly recommend this dish!

After all, it's the healthiest option,

and parents always seem to appreciate vegetables and fruits like these.

The Pulled Pork Tacos came with

avocado and shredded meat, a combination that simply *can't* be bad, haha!

However, only two tacos are served,

so if you're going with several people, I recommend ordering enough for everyone!

As for the taste, it's pretty much just what you'd expect

from a taco with avocado and meat!

And now, for the much-anticipated T-bone Steak~!

To get straight to the point:

it was absolutely, incredibly delicious!!

The meat was perfectly cooked to a medium-rare,

and the accompanying vegetables were also evenly (haha) grilled,

making for a wonderfully tender meal.

It truly felt like a high-quality steak!

You can choose two steak sauces,

and from Creamy Mushroom, Chimichurri, and House BBQ,

we went with Creamy Mushroom and House BBQ.

Both sauces paired perfectly and were incredibly tasty, haha!

Finally, the last dish~

As a Korean, I just couldn't skip rice, so we had to order it.

Its name was Dirty Rice,

but you can just think of it as fried rice.

It tasted like the kind of fried rice you often find in Vietnam!

It was seasoned just right, so it was delicious even on its own, haha!

4. Recommendation

If you're heading to Nha Trang for a family trip with your parents,

this place is truly highly recommended~!

The air conditioning inside is super powerful,

and the staff are incredibly friendly, haha!

Of course, it's pricey by Vietnamese standards,

but if you consider Korean prices,

it's roughly ~$22 per person...

Indulge in incredibly luxurious service and exquisite food?

I truly think it's fantastic!

If you're traveling to Vietnam with your parents,

or if you want to savor high-quality steak

at a more affordable price compared to Korea,

or just want to enjoy a truly satisfying meal

in a clean and cool restaurant!

I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

I loved it so much myself that I'm already planning my next visit~!
