Anfield is legendary, but getting Liverpool FC tickets is notoriously difficult. Read our honest 2026 guide on resellers, memberships, and ticket exchanges.

I recently crossed off a massive bucket-list item: watching a live match at Anfield!
Of all the English Premier League (EPL) clubs, Liverpool FC tickets are notoriously the hardest to secure.
Because local season ticket holders dominate the seats and official cancellations are incredibly rare,
international fans generally have only two realistic options:
buying from ticket reseller platforms or purchasing official hospitality packages directly from the club.

To be honest, I usually have great luck with ticket drops.
I figured that if I dedicated a few hours a day to refreshing the official page,
I could easily snag a returned ticket on my own...
Spoiler alert: Absolute failure! Lol.
Unlike other EPL clubs, Liverpool uses a unique, dedicated link system for ticket sales
(hospitality seats are the only ones accessible at all times).
This queue link opens only twice per season. I tried my luck during the second window,
and I didn't see a single canceled ticket. It wasn't even a matter of being too slow—
there simply were zero tickets released.
(However, if you still want to try your luck, I've detailed the steps below!)
How to Book: Official Website vs. Reseller Platforms
Let's start with the most popular and reliable third-party ticket reseller platforms.
Buy Liverpool FC Tickets | Live Football Tickets
First up is Live Football Tickets.
This is one of the most widely used global football ticket platforms,
and it has a major advantage: you can select your preferred seating zone.

One minor catch is that these platforms operate on a peer-to-peer basis.
The site contacts the seller, who then transfers the ticket to the platform to send to you.
If you purchase your ticket the day before or the day of the match,
there is a slight risk of delivery delays or last-minute issues.
While outright scams are rare, to play it safe,
I highly recommend securing your tickets at least two days before kickoff.

Also, while some seats look incredibly cheap initially,
those low-priced tickets are usually behind the goals, in the upper tiers, or at the very edges.
The seats behind the goals are home-fan territory.
The atmosphere there is electric, but you must absolutely support the home team—
wearing away colors or cheering for the opposition is strictly forbidden.
If you want a great tactical view of the pitch or want to see the players up close,
you'll want central sideline seats. These tend to run significantly higher on resale sites.
However, prices fluctuate constantly as match day approaches.
If you time it right and keep an eye on the listings,
you can sometimes score premium seats at a discount.
Liverpool FC Home Match Tickets
The second option is WAUG, a trusted regional booking partner.
While concierge sites can be pricey for other clubs like Man City or Tottenham,
I found that WAUG's Liverpool tickets are surprisingly competitive.
(Of course, for Liverpool, "competitive" still means a baseline of about ~$320...)

I looked up ticket prices for a standard home fixture, Liverpool vs. Fulham.
The most expensive option is the hospitality ticket, but I don't highly recommend it.
The seats are often high up in the third tier where players look like ants,
and the included lounge food is pretty basic.
If you truly want hospitality, it's better to book it directly through the official LFC site.

Standard seats hover around the ~$320 to ~$384 range.
While you can't pick your exact seat number with this service,
reviews show that most buyers end up with great lower-tier back rows or mid-tier center seats.
If you want guaranteed peace of mind and want to avoid any reseller transaction issues,
booking through a platform like WAUG is highly recommended.

Now, let's talk about booking through the official Liverpool FC website.
Most Premier League clubs open general ticket sales to official members before the season starts.
However, with Liverpool, simply buying a membership doesn't guarantee you can buy tickets.
(Even local residents in Liverpool have to win a ballot system to get tickets!)

So, how do you buy directly from the official site?
You have to hunt for returned/canceled tickets via the Ticket Exchange.
If you click on the link above, you'll see a list of upcoming fixtures. Click on the match you want.
*Note: For high-profile matches against rivals like Arsenal, Man United, or Man City,
canceled tickets are rarely made available to non-local members.
For these big games, you must use a reseller platform.

For example, let's look at the home game against Fulham.
The official page displays ticket return information specifically for official members.
There is usually an initial release window, followed by a secondary release about 2-3 weeks before kickoff.
The exact date is announced about a week in advance.
When the announcement goes live, a registration button appears.
You must register to receive the unique queue access link via email.
(Remember, everyone wanting to buy a ticket must have an active official membership.
If you want to sit together, both accounts must be linked members.)

I received my unique link via email three days before the ticket drop.
I clicked the join link the second it opened while in the UK,
but my queue number was already over 70,000!
When I finally got through an hour later, absolutely nothing was left.

From that day until match day, I refreshed the page constantly...
But aside from high-end hospitality packages, not a single standard seat popped up.
Ultimately, I had to buy from a reseller site, spending about ~$448 for two tickets.
Plus, I lost the money spent on the official membership fees!
Save yourself the membership cost and hassle—just use a reliable reseller platform from the start.

I bought my tickets just the day before the match and was nervous about receiving them on time,
but luckily they were delivered to my email within a few hours.
I downloaded the mobile tickets directly to my Apple Wallet.
Even though the registered supporter name on the ticket was clearly a different gender and nationality,
the turnstile staff didn't check IDs at all—they just scanned the barcode and let me in.

Anfield has easily the most passionate, spine-tingling atmosphere in the EPL!
I tagged along to support my husband, who is a die-hard Liverpool fan (a true Red).
Seeing his absolute joy and emotion during "You'll Never Walk Alone" made every penny worth it.
If you want to experience the absolute peak of English football culture,
a matchday at Anfield is an absolute must!

For big matches against teams like Arsenal, Man Utd, or Man City, even cancelled tickets are not made available to anyone other than locals in Liverpool. Therefore, you must purchase tickets for these matches through third-party ticket agency websites.
To access the Liverpool ticket purchasing site, you need a unique link, and an official membership is mandatory. You must click the 'register for sale' button when the notice for cancelled tickets is announced to receive this unique access link via email.
Since the process involves the seller transferring the ticket to the platform, there is a risk that you might not receive the ticket in time if you purchase it the day before or on the day of the match. For guaranteed delivery, we recommend buying your tickets at least two days prior to the match.
Standard Liverpool seats on WAUG range from ~$320 to ~$384, and the system does not allow you to select specific seats yourself. However, according to reviews, most buyers are assigned central seats either at the back of the first tier or the front of the second tier.
